“Exceptional meal and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

This restaurant has quintessential New England Inn ambience with excellent food. The picky teens loved the tortellini and the chicken fingers. The adults loved their entrees too, but the appetizer of Vermont Spring Rolls was exceptional. Suggestions by waitress (wine, entrees, and even things to do in the area) were spot on. Excellent choice for a special night out.

“Decent food and atmosphere; Lousy service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

From the moment we walked in and the hostess didn't know how to handle our request to have a drink on the lawn before dinner, the service was a real disappointment here. The bartender was flustered in offering us some snacks with our drink. It took a long time to get our meal to our table, and then the waitress had gotten the order wrong. To avoid an additional 20 minutes of waiting, my parents shared a meal. People at the adjoining table were sitting for a long time before a waitress came up apologizing that she didn't know it was her table. During dinner I saw the bartender examining a glass of wine that he had poured, and, dissatisfied with it, he poured the contents into another glass to give to the waitress. Do they train these people?

The food is pretty good. The place is nice. But I probably won't return.

“Great atmosphere, so-so food.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2011 via mobile

Very much of a country inn atmosphere, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I had the pork roast special, totally ordinary and not worth the money. Same with the eggplant parmesian that my wife had.

“Beautiful building and setting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2011 via mobile

The food was really not that good when we went but there was a special deal so it made it more palatable. My husband had the veal which was very overcooked. Lovely setting though and the staff were okay. In the winter they have a nice fire and it is very Vermont like. I think there are better places in Quechee to eat but if you have been to them already and looking for another location is maybe worth a try. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.

“Perfect combination of a romantic and delicious food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2010

While mountain biking through Vermont for out 20th wedding anniversary we chose to eat at the Farm and Quechee Inn. Reservations were easily, one day prior to our visit. Upon arrival we were graciously greeted by beautiful grounds, gardens and a quaint Vermont Farm. Restaurant we decorated in traditional New England fashion, elegant but casual and relaxed, not pretentious at all. Wife and I were seated a a very secluded table for two, service was efficient but not bothersome. Great wine list, and superb food. Every ingredient was amazingly fresh and local. From the chicken to the line caught trout. Yes, the chef actually went fishing that afternoon and I had fresh trout!!! A perfect evening!
