“Relaxing, excellent meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

Stopped in on a whim for lunch after perusing the glass and pottery shop and are glad we did! Excellent, friendly service. Was given a prime seat next to the waterfall. Started out with the cheddar soup which was perfectly seasoned. The complimentary brown bread and biscuits were very good. Had the crab cakes and my partner had the chicken sandwich. Both were excellent choices. Did not save room for dessert. Service was professional and friendly. Atmosphere was pleasant. They actually use glass and pottery from the shop. Since it was the holiday season, our table was decorated with one of the beautiful glass Christmas trees. Will come back again.

“Great setting overlooking waterfall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

Had a very enjoyable meal here. Started off with hot mulled cider (it was very cold outside!). Then had the soup of the day - roasted red bell pepper and fennel - which was very tasty. Afterwards looked around the extensive shop which had some gorgeous items, as well as visiting the glass blowing demonstrations. Well worth a visit

“Fresh food and friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

SImon Pearce is a great place to shop and be inspired, but the restaurant is a destination on its own merits. Vermont cheddar soup to start, crispy calamari salad or a fresh fish at lunch is delightful in this beautiful dining room. The brown bread and Rory's biscuits are top notch, with creamy Vermont butter. Everything is served on Simon Pearce china and crystal which adds to the experience. This place is worth a drive, detour, or plane trip to experience!

“great ambiance, service and view; good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

this is the kind of place that makes you smile as soon as you walk through the door. attached to the restaurant is the eponymous gallery offering art glass, crystal objects, china, high end cheese boards, etc. it's fun to walk through and even better if you are fortunate enough to have a credit card with lots of unused credit. the restaurant, of course, features stemware and table settings from the store which adds to the enjoyment of the experience. the menu is very limited, about 5, 5 mains and a few salads, but the prices are not crazy high and the quality of the food is very good if not exceptional. there's a very extensive wine list where the prices are generally very high ... perhaps these prices have been necessitated by disastrous floods ruining their cellar (among other things) a couple of years ago. a special occasion type of place. request a table with a view of the falls.

“Great destination dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2013

As beautiful as it is, Quechee is not exactly near anything so you've probably gone out of your way to get here. This, then, is great destination dining. The restaurant features a comfortable and quiet dining room overlooking a waterfall with crisp, efficient service all around. My wife and I had calamari and salmon dishes and both were as good as we’ve had anywhere and everything that passed our table looked fabulous. Pricing is reasonable given the venue and high quality ingredients - except the beets and wild greens seemed a little steep at $9 just to accompany a lunch (a very minor objection). Still, everything was excellent and worth the drive from almost anywhere. Tip: Seating near the windows can get very warm in the bright sunlight and the uncrowded interior tables have just as nice a view.
