“Not worth the money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2010

The hotel is in need of up-dating and looked tired with stains on the carpet, bathrooms are very small. A real let down for the $129 plus tax price, one would do better to go to the Econo Lodge or some other motel/hotel in White River Junction. I certainly would not stay there again.

I have stayed here four times in the last few months. I think that the staff all go above and beyond to make sure that their guests are comfortable and that they have everything that they need during their stay. I look foward to my next stay. Thanks to all for your great hospitality.

We have stayed here a couple of years in a row over Christmas Break, and have had a great stay both times - the rooms are impeccably clean, the pool area is almost brand new and really nice, the free breakfast is nice. The location is close to all of the activities in the area (skiing, antiquing, etc), and walking distance to the gorge, where there is good hiking. When booking this year, I saw the review that talked about bedbugs - I didn't believe it then, so addressed with the hotel directly, and they assured me that this was some sort of misunderstanding - again, the hotel is REALLY clean, and we certainly didn't get any bug bites, and we were in two different rooms over the week (a suite and then regular room) Don't let that review sway you - I highly recommend, particularly for the price.

We will come back. We stayed only one night with our 2 dogs. We did have to pay $25 to take them. Usually it is $25 per dog but I asked if they could waive one fee. We have stayed at many Quality Inn's with our pets and have always had good experiences. They were very nice and helpful. the bathroom was small, I happen to like the "water closet" being separate from the sink. It's time consuming if someone is shower or using the facilites if another needs the sink. We thought we were in a great location. I wish I would have resrved a room with bigger or more beds but the room suited us fine. If your looking for high end, this isn't it. If your looking for a clean place that won't break your budget this IS it. There are two restaurants next door and the continental breakfast was good. We would definately stay here again.

I held a reunion in Reading, Vermont, for my extended family. A cousin and her adult son stayed at the Quality Inn, at my recommendation. She was there for two nights.

She complained after the first night there of being itchy, of having bites. We all thought it was mosquitos. A few days after she arrived home, she was diagnosed with bedbugs. The Inn has been very unresponsive and she has engaged a lawyer. She has had doctor bills and had to replace her own and her son's mattresses.

we stayed about four nights in aug. paid about $139/night which was high for a motel with no interior corridor, but it was a great location. you could walk to the gorge, VINS, the tourist center, and there were bike trails all around. the cabot store was right down the street. simon pearce right around the corner. the pool was clean and 92 degrees (a bit too hot). it is true, it's annoying to try to open the bathroom door, the bathroom is tiny and you run over your toes. it didn't bother me that the sink was separate. we were in the back building facing the woods (see my photos). very nice and quiet for us, plenty of parking. there's a guest laundry machine, vending, ice machines. the breakfast was fine but the eggs were seriously overcooked.

Stayed there for 2 weekday nites in late May, 2009 while on a short golf/sightseeing trip. Used a Roomsaver coupon. Room was very clean and quiet (we requested an end unit). The pool was clean. Good staff.
The included breakfast was good.
Our expectations were exceeded. We will go back next year if both of us are still above ground.
