We have stayed here many times over several years. One is greeted warmly each time you arrive... like coming home. We have stayed in many lovely B&Bs in both north America and Europe and the Village Victorian competes with the best of them. Breakfasts are delicious and plentiful, with good variety. The rooms are well appointed in a lovely Victorian setting. The hosts are always friendly, good TV with DVD library free to access. Close proximity to Stowe ,Vermont.
Great anytime of the year.

Room Tip: all rooms are lovely there are a couple that allow for families, and others just for couples.. good...

Ellen and Philip really know what they are doing! We loved spending the night in their huge top floor suite for my husband's reunion nearby. Some of husband's friends walked over to visit us before the event and we sat outside on a side porch viewing the lovely yard. While outside, Ellen brought out some champagne and wine glasses for our beverages. That was so thoughtful and much appreciated! Breakfast was huge and great-tasting! The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean! Thank you again Ellen and Philip! We can't wait to visit you again soon!

Room Tip: Couples will love the top floor suite! Large and cozy at the same time!

We had such a great time! My husband and two sons stayed at the Lake Cottage in West Glover, which is run by the B&E owners. Excellent value. Great location - next to the lake. FYI it is in the middle of no where but it was just 1/2 hr to a 'major' VT town and about a 45 min drive to Canada. A tire on our truck blew out our first day there and the owners worked with us to stay an extra night and tried to help is find a local place to have the tire fixed. The cottage was clean, spacious, had everything we would need. We will definitely be back. Kids absolutely love it!

I stayed at VVB&B as a business guest, in between 2 rigorous days of work at local hospitals.I felt welcomed and comfortable. Ellen and Phil were perfect, friendly but private. The house was pretty and the gardens gorgeous. My breakfast was outstanding. Only 2 small complaints - weak coffee (a chronic issue with American hospitality) and unreliable wireless access (which turned out to be a blessing in disguise - providing me with a guiltless evening without work.)

We loved having you too! Perhaps we can campaign the American Hospitality folks together to make some decent coffee... you will not believe how many folks tell me my coffee is just a little too strong... or ask for some "hot water".... When you come back, you get your very own pot of coffee!!!

Meanwhile, you will be pleased to know that Comcast's technician has since replaced our "brand new modem" with another... that looks the same but seems to carry better upstairs... not that I trust them to have it stay that way... we just picked up a wi-fi extender we trust will resolve the issue. Thanks for joining us....:)

A bed and breakfast is not normally my first choice when it comes to places to stay, but about 4 years ago my wife and I found the Village Victorian B&B and we're back again right now, this time with our college freshman daughter. The accomodations are comfortable and charming, and the owners, Phillip and Ellen are delightfully eccentric and sweetly classy. (Within moments of meeting them you will know which description I've aplied to which owner!) The place is beautifully situated for taking day trips all around north/central VT. Today we drove to 4 different dairies and bought many blocks of cheese that made for an amazing picnic over on Lake Champlain. Tomorrow's plan involves checking out waterfalls.

alright... ok... I confess... I am the "eccentric one".... actually to be called "delightfully eccentric" is one of the nicest things anyone ever said to me... (tears are coming)...and grown men aren't supposed to cry... :) ... especially delightfully eccentric old men... just think though... what we can build on the next time you are brave enough to come again... :)

My niece was taking a summer course at Burklyn and my sister found this place. The owners are so accommodating and the breakfast they provided was "over the top" as my very observant niece said. The table was set beautifully and the food was absolutely delicious. Would stay again for sure. Thanks Phillip and Ellen!,,

I have never felt so at home in a place not actually mine. If you are looking to stay in a Bed and Breakfast where you are MORE than just a basic customer or visitor – even a valued one – this is it! Ellen and Phil truly welcome you into their home with camaraderie, caring, and joy! This gorgeous old house - with its comfortable and elegant mix of grandma’s house meets classic cozy Vermont B&B - welcomes guests with elegant rooms, airy porches for sitting, gardens for wandering, and a large common area that actually invites and pleases – without any stuffiness our sense of ‘out of ‘place’ness’. My husband and I both enjoyed the family-style morning breakfasts very much. Over a delicious home cooked meal, with Cabot cheese, and bountiful fruit, we chatted widely with our fellow guests. Conversation that began politely quickly grew friendly, confiding, and full of laughter. It was a delightful and heart-warming experience! : D

We cannot recommend the Village Victorian highly enough!

Thank you Kirsten... it is because you ARE so much more than just a "customer or guest"... you are why we are here in the first place... to simply care for those who come and give them the best possible experience we can... looking forward to next time.... :)
