What a cool, historic, vibey place.
Had high hopes.
When we asked about our choices, they were recommended.
Sadly, the scrod was on the edge of "off". It was covered with cheese..but still I couldn't eat it. And I can eat just about anything if you cheese it up!
The smoked venison & port wine sausage pasta was overcooked and over-herbed. It did not work, even for a weeknight throw together pasta at home.
We looked at each other and dreaded what we had to do.
As a couple we have never once both sent back an entree. We HATED to do it, but we did.
All this said, the staff was sweet. They took back the meals and didn't charge us for them.
We were offered other entrees but didn't accept them. We kind of had a bad taste....especially after the "off" fish.
We ordered dessert and coffee instead. Chocolate orange bombe and coconut sorbet were pretty good.
