“Really good bagels and not bad coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

I ate breakfast here both mornings I stayed in Manchester, VT. The bagels were freshly baked and the coffee, of which I am NO officiodado, was acceptable. The various other options; like fresh fruit salad and mixed cream cheeses were fun, fresh and reasonably priced. Compared to the buffet breakfast on offer at the hotel (Equinox) for $23/person, this was an enjoyable bargain.

“Good bagels but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

This is a grab and go destination. Good for picking up breakfast on the run or buying some bagels to take home / back to your hotel when you feel like a quick and easy start to the day. I would not recommend sitting in here as the feel is a little too similar to a starbucks or dunkin doughnuts for my liking, That being said the bagels are fresh and tasty.

“Awesome Coffee and Blondie”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Stopped here in Manchester shopping area to get a coffee and something sweet and fell in love with a Blondie. I love Blondies and haven't had one this good in a while. Nice place to stop for a sandwich or bite to eat. Friendly people working there. I think there are about 8 stores throughout Vermont. Try the Blondie.

“Looked Good But Food Average At Best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Well here I have a case where the parking lot was full of cars but the food was actually quite average. This is probably a case where while in Canmore, AB Canada I ate at a bagel shop that was so good that I just can't stop thinking about it. The Works Bakery in Manchester, VT doesn't compare. The bagels were very chewy and certainly not tasting very fresh. The cream cheese filling could have tasted better...and I asked for the raspberry lemonade which tasted like a smoothie rather than what I expected. JUST A HUGE LET DOWN FOR ME!!

John A: Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I am sorry that you did not have a great experience with us. We pride ourselves on our fresh-baked NY-style bagels, and cream cheese which is local (from VT). I will certainly follow up with our Manager to ensure that our standards are being met. Again, thank you for taking the time to post. ~Jennifer
