“Wonderful Inn!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

We enjoyed our stay at Frog's Leap Inn for the Easter weekend. We stayed at the Pool House which was perfect for us and we had great views of the property and surrounding mountains from our deck. Kraig is the perfect host, very attentive to all the guests, knowledgeable of the area and creates a fantastic breakfast every day!

When I was searching I came across this place and everyone raved about the breakfast. It kind of made me wonder if the accommodations weren't any good so I'm here to report that they are. We had a queen bedroom with bath that connected to another bedroom with a twin bed and roll away bed (arrived at night so the pictures are a bit dark). 2 adults and 2 kids. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. We could have used more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels on etc.
There was a sitting room downstairs for everyone to use with a fire to welcome you home. The rooms and sitting room are in a house behind the owner's main house. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining room in the owner's house. Thanks for the great weekend! And yes, the breakfast was wonderful!

I had the good pleasure of recently staying at this wonderful B&B for a ski weekend with my two children (HS and college student). In the past we stayed at condos at Stratton - but I wanted something different (and more affordable). I had no idea of what to expect and based my visit on the very nice reviews I read on Trip Advisor. The reviews were spot on! Kraig, the owner, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. He gave us great restaurant recommendations (even printed out menus for us to review!), made us a dinner reservation and recommended that we try skiing at Magic Mountain - which we loved! (Magic is a challenging mountain - not for beginners, mostly locals, no crowds, very low-key and a 10 minute drive) Kraig even brought us milk to the room as my kids wanted milk to dunk their cookies in after skiing (I still love oreos!). He was very friendly, caring and welcoming... I felt like I was with my children visiting an old college friend. Kraig made a great spread for breakfast of gourmet egg dishes, French toast and even had a large selection of cereals, fruit, breads, yogurts. The room was perfect for us. There was a Queen bed in one room and a small connecting room that had 2 beds for them. At night we watched TV in the living room and Kraig kept a fire burning in the fireplace. When my kids wanted to go to sleep, I was able to stay in the living room and watch the Olympics with other guests at the Inn. My advice to future travelers...If you are looking for the Ritz and large fluffy towels - this is not for you. If you are looking for a warm and friendly B&B, with exceptional service, great breakfast, cozy atmosphere, conveniently located to Magic, Stratton, Okemo and several good restaurants - this place is for you. We will be back. We already miss Kraig and his wonderful hospitality!

Hi - My husband and I live in Westport, CT and recently went to Frogs Leap for our ski trip to Stratton. We have a 3 year old and a 5 year old and wanted something where my husband and i would have to be kept inside a hotel room. The accomodations here were perfect for us as we could put kids in second room of our suite for bedtime but go down end of hall and sit by a fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine. We met other nice couples with small children there too from NYC area. We were greeted on arrival by the nicest and friendliest innkeeper named Kraig. By the time we left, we felt like we had known him for years and was family. The best part of our stay was the amazing breakfast we had each morning! Kraig really goes all out to make guests feel welcome. This is definitely our new go to place for VT and can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Ist floor is great for families.

This place is great. The owners are extremely friendly and, well, I can't say enough good things about them. The breakfast is the best I've ever had at a B&B. It's just a very relaxing and comfortable place. "Dog Friendly" is a big plus. If you're looking for a B&B in Vermont, look no further. We plan on returning, and bringing friends back with us.

Our family of 3 stayed at Frog's Leap over MLK weekend, and it really provided the perfect spot for our Vermont adventures. The location is between a number of ski spots (Stratton, Okemo, Bromley, as well as x-country - Wild Wings, eg), so if you are interested in trying the various ski offerings, it is very well situated. The rooms are in a separate "annex" and are clean, comfortable and simply, but thoughtfully, decorated. We were pleased that we could have a room for us parents, with an adjoining room for our 14 year old (with a comfortable day bed).

A varied, gourmet breakfast is served buffet-style in the main house, and is a complete delight. Kraig, the welcoming host, prepares sumptuous fare -- the likes of which we foodies imagine we will not soon forget. Totally delicious, with fresh ingredients and homemade everything (preserves, etc) - and a lovely room to eat in with red cardinals nibbling seeds outside the window...

We loved our stay and will come back -- for sure.

The Frog's leap is a quaint, little inn. The service was exemplary. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, Kraig displayed a genuine interest in making our stay as pleasant as possible. He was nice enough to get a fire going in the fireplace each night we were there, always asked if things were okay, and greeted us every morning with a smile. The breakfasts were unique and something I have never experienced elsewhere. Each dish that he cooks reflects his attempts at making everything perfect for the guests.
If you are looking for a place that feels like home, this is the place to come. The rooms contain all the essentials that one would need in their sleeping quarters. There is no TV in the bedroom but there is one in the common room for anybody's use. If a five star hotel is what you are looking for, then look elsewhere; this place will probably not suit your needs. The atmosphere of the inn is what makes the quality of this place so great. The simplistic nature of it creates an ideal place to enjoy the serenity that Vermont has to offer. The hospitality provided by Kraig was truly a memorable experience. For the money that you pay, what you get in return is more than reasonable.
