“Exceptional Resort in Killington Vermont”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

We just returned from a week stay in Killington Grand Resort. We stayed in a one bedroom timeshare unit. Our stay was extremely pleasant and quite relaxing. The room was recently refreshed with new furniture, kitchen with granite counters, newly renovated bathroom with very nice amenities. The little things that made it a 5* stay, were the extras provided by the staff, including complimentary valet service, use of robes and slippers, hair dryer provided, daily towel changes and mid week cleaning. The staff was responsive and attentive, courteous and helpful. They sent us emails prior to our stay that provided an overview of the area and the resort. The pool was very nice with plenty of seating. Additionally, for timeshare users, there is an owners club area that has a full size pool table, library, games, soft seating, a kitchen, and two large TVs. It also has it's own deck with a swing and seating. The club room was nice for the bad weather days. They provided several computers for guest use, with printers, which we used to map our route home. It was very picturesque with both mountain and lake views. We traveled in the summer which is off season, so the town was a little empty, but there were plenty of things to do, and it was very relaxing. We will visit again!

Room Tip: You don't have a choice when swapping, but the rear rooms have a view of the pool and lake vs th...

Probably ok if your skiing but we were there for a summer wedding. Rooms small and walls paper thin. Mattresses uncomfortable, staff non existent, Ovations Restaurant slow service and unremarkable food. Having said all that it is probably the best place to stay at Killington. On the positive side Killington is beautiful in any season.

Was a little surprised by the Murphy bed but it was comfortable. However, even with the bed still in the wall there is very little room to move around. I had trouble sitting at the table to work because it was jammed up against the couch

We traded our RCI week to stay at this resort. Even though we do not ski and it was in the middle of July, we found plenty of things to do. Killington is so beautiful. The grounds, pool, hot tub were very clean. Our one bedroom unit had a awesome view of the ski slope and was cleaned daily. Kudos for the huge bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed at this resort during the summer, to compete in a local half marathon. The resort was lovely and had many amenities, including a spa, a gym, a restaurant, an outdoor pool and a gift shop where they also sold coffee and light food. There was a banquet hall for large events, and there was a golf course across the street. The resort was clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. My room was a "studio," and included a couch, a comfortable arm chair, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette (oven, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, utensils, dishes, a small table on which to eat, and supplies for cleaning the dishes). I was surprised to find that my bed was a "Murphy" bed, which I had to pull out from the wall, but the mattress was firm and I had a good night's sleep. My room overlooked the mountains and a (manmade?) pond. A ski lift from the Killington ski center was within walking distance from the hotel. One drawback was that, since I did not use the resort's valet parking service, and the main parking lot was full when I arrived in the evening, I had to park in the "overflow" parking lot, which was poorly lit and a slight walk from the entrance of the resort.
Overall, however, if one is interested in staying at a deluxe slope-side resort, the Killington Grant Resort Hotel would probably be a good choice.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the mountains have a spectacular view.

Even though it's a ski resort, there were things to do in the summer. Took several side trips within a 2 hr drive. Balloon Festival in Stowe, covered bridges, Shelburne museum. The resort was very nice and comfy. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Nice heated pool and hot tubs.Resort was well maintained.

Room Tip: ask for room facing the slopes and not the parking lot

We had a fantastic, relaxing week at the Killington Grand. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Because we stayed during their off season, the hotel was very quiet, which we loved. The view from our room was amazing, the room was very clean and comfortable. The pool is fantastic, our kids just loved it. We hiked up to Killington Peak which was a bit strenuous, but so worth it. The staff at the hiking/mountain bike center were super friendly and gave us great advice for our hike. The resort's restaurant, Ovations, was pretty good. The food was a bit expensive but delicious. The service was spotty, but the convenience of having a place to get a decent meal on site made up for it. Off site, I'd suggest McGrath's pub at The Inn at Long Trail, The Foundry ($$), and, for an easy, kid-friendly meal, you can't beat iPie Pizza. The Killington Market down the road was great for essentials and has awesome sandwiches as well as a nice wine selection. It was on the expensive side, but it beat driving to Rutland for a supermarket. We took day trips to Manchester and Queechee Gorge and visited the Calvin Coolidge Historical site which were all within an hour's drive of Killington. We love Vermont and would love to stay here again!
