We booked our room very last minute, the minute we booked, we packed the car and left. Hotel is very nice from the outside and you can't beat the location..right on the mountain. Our room had a view of the slopes, but that was where it ended. We had a Studio with a Murphy bed and a pull out sofa with a small kitchen. The pull out sofa was more comfortable than the murphy bed. For what we paid to stay we were expecting so much more. We are heading back up there again very soon and the Grand Hotel is not on the list to stay. The only thing that was good was the breakfast which if you can, get included or you will be spending over $30 every morning. Also, the snack store is so over priced it is insulting.

“absolutely awful, total overpriced”

The hotel itself is perfectly located; no long ways to the ski lifts, the tracks are close by and no annoying parking situations in the morning. Besides this, there are no more positive things to say. Our room was a disaster. We had a filthy fold-away bed that was integrated in the closet, the bath room were not cleaned properly and it would be a compliment to characterize the wet area as a hog house. My husband complained about the unhygienic circumstances, and the staff informed him that it would be normal to allow other guests to wear ski boots within the wet area and that housekeeping is asked to clean everything just once a day. When I complained about the fact that the bathroom was not cleaned in a proper way, I was informed that I have to pay a surplus if I want to have a full service. Even the manager of the hotel was not able to understand the lack of service in comparison with the money we paid. I was asking several times to give me an explanation why we had to pay such an enormous amount of money if I had to clean the bathroom by myself and serve myself coffee in the morning. We were very disappointed and even if we would get a free night, we would not go back. The service is weak, the front desk employees are without any experiences at all, everything is just filthy and the rooms are not worth the money that you need to pay for.

Upon arrival, the woman behind the counter bent over to retreive some info for us. Her pants were pulled down exsposing the vast majority of her [--]- I have never before seen such a thing.

We went to our $500/night room intended for 4 people (there were only 3 of us), and could not stop laughing about the accomodations. There was only 1 bed, which was attached to the wall, with what appear to be spotlights above it - security camera perhaps? We had to get 2 cots pulled in - security guards did so and warned us thoroughly agaist damaging the room. Without informing us, the hotel added a substantial charge for these cots. The TV is about 16" and gets 1 channel - advertisements for the hotel. The entire room is hideous and the breakfast is sub-par at best. The skis rented at the hotel are incredibly overpriced and low quality. Every member of the staff is very rude. We checked out other hotels in the area, and the difference was like night and day. These other hotels had rooms for less than half the price that were incomparably superior, with polite staff.

“Nice room but walls were very thin!!”

We stayed at the hotel MLK weekend and enjoyed our stay except for the very thin walls. We were next to some very loud drunk individuals and were woken up at 2:00 AM. Management resolved the issue after a phone call.

Rooms were very clean. The staff were very friendly. There was no problems with check-in or check-out procedures.

The free breakfast buffet was above average.

I would stay again if I have the chance.

We stayed for a week at this resort. It was beautiful! We had perfect weather every day. There was always something to do. We travelled with 6 children... and had 2 rooms joining. The pool was great! Nice gym, spa.... we didn't try the restaurant. We did cook a lot in our room. Kitchen is very small, but we managed. Bathrooms were very clean. They came in everyday and cleaned. Service was very friendly and helpful.

I can't wait to go back!
