“Two-day ski trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Decent base for skiing at Killington, room was good if a little dated, had extra blankets since it was -20 Celsius outside! Icy, dark dangerous short run to the outdoor hot tub though! Breakfast wasn't great, they ran out of stuff constantly. Also seemed very quiet for peak ski season. Shuttle bus service to the base station was ideal and always ran on time.

Meh. Old and needing updates in everything, including a good cleaning against the mildew that's attacking it, the facility isn't recommended for summer visits. Indoor pool is fairly well maintained. Staff is friendly. Kitchen is manned by people doing double duty as fitness instructors at the summer-season New Life Hiking Spa, but they try hard. Corey the chef is a genius at low-calorie suppers, and the lunch chef is pretty good too. Beds: mattresses are a little too firm. Floors are none too clean. Bathrooms are clean but small. TVs work but just barely. Don't bother to get a view, the windows are too dirty.
If you ski and want an affordable shelter against the Vermont cold, this is probably a good place to stay. In summer, if you want creature comfort, go to the Best Western in nearby Rutland... we did, and I was so grateful for the soft bed there I wept. Briefly. Before falling asleep.
The Hiking Spa is great. The shortcoming is that you have to pay to stay at the Inn.

Room Tip: Get a room on the lower floor away from the road which features early-morning construction traffic i...

We stayed at the Inn of the six mountains July 8-9 2013. It is conveniently located, near the mountains and the villages. The room was clean and comfortable, with extra pillows and blankets! The hotel itself could use some freshening up...especially the hallways...but otherwise a good experience. We would certainly go back!

Location was great on the mountain. Staff was attentive. The rooms are dated. We had 2 double beds which were clean & comfortable. The bathroom was ok. The shower was smallish and the shower head short yet was ok. If you're a big guy like me it will take a while to shower. It was a reasonable room to sleep in. They use portable AC which was adequate in 90+ degree heat and they provide a fan. We borrowed a movie from the front desk. It didn't play (skipped and froze) and the TV was an LCD yet small. We would probably stay there again yet it would be nice to have taller more powerful shower heads and updated amenities. We never saw the pool or the breakfast.

I was looking for a quick fix but instead found a life changing view on my eating, emotional and exercise habits.
The Inn itself is situated in a beautiful spot in the mountains of Vermont. Yes, the rooms are a little worn but the staff, food, Jimmy Le Sage and the program make up for everything else.
I was impressed by the professional warmth and caring attitude of each staff member down to the young people that cleaned our rooms.
Where else can you go to find stimulating conversations with intelligent people from all over the world who are also on a quest to be healthy?
Our morning began with stretching and Tai Chi, then a healthy fulfilling breakfast. Onward to a 3 hour hike then back to the hotel for a scrumptious lunch, The afternoon was filled with every exercise class imaginable . You could do as much or as little as you wanted, depending upon how motivated you were to lose weight or becoming stronger. Dinner(spectacular chef) was always served after Yoga and then there were movies, speakers ,Bingo or just incredible conversation. Needed to go to bed early to be alert and ready for the next day.
I want to personally point out some remarkable staff members . Amy L. for personal insight how to achieve my goals during my stress related workdays. Michelle for her wonderful inspirational cooking and motivating drive on the intermediate and advanced hikes. Miss Jessie for her soft spoken yet encouraging demeanor. Michelle, Katelyn ,Karen,Joyce ,Kip(instructors that knew their strengths and imparted with valuable information) Marci & husband, Matt, Gary, Connor (guides) and Chuck the general manager that was everything and everywhere. There were others but can't remember everyone's name that help to make this program successful. Thank you again and I haven't cheated except for one beer and some dark chocolate.hah!

Room Tip: Just ask to look at one, but basically they are all the same. Try to go in September when leaves are...

The Inn of Six Mountains is a huge hotel, very well situated, in the Killington Mountains. However, this hotel has certainly seen better days. The worn out 80s decor betrays a serious lack of maintenance. The carpet and fixtures both in the hotel and rooms need to be cleaned and updated. Additionally, the hotel has a serious dirty smell to it.
We stayed there 3 nights and each time we hoped the bathroom would be cleaned a little more, unfortunately it was not thoroughly cleaned. They didn't change our toilette paper roll when the paper ran out. They didn't renew the soap and shampoo although it was needed. They also forgot to give us more coffee for our in-room use. The extra blanket and pillows available in the room also looked as if they hadn't been properly cleaned.
While there was a daily breakfast included in the price of the room, we were disappointed with the lack of healthy offerings. There were a lot of carb and sugary options. The fruit and potatoes didn't seem very fresh. There were no sausages or bacon and on the first day I even found a hair in my eggs. Let's just say I didn't have eggs on the remaining days. As a whole the hotel felt a bit grimmy.
Finally, although there was free wi-fi it didn't work well enough and did not allow us to do some of our work related tasks we hoped to accomplish over the weekend.
This hotel has a lot of potential but at this time it doesn't rise to the expected level for its pricetag.

This hotel is very well located just a few minutes away from the slopes. There is a free shuttle from the front desk that brings you to the mountain. The rooms are comfortable but outdated. The hotel features a pool and a hot tub, which we haven't had the time to try them out. The included hot breakfast was great! On the downside, the walls are paper thin and when your neighbors are screaming, jumping on the bed and running in the hallways, you can definitely hear them! We had to call reception 3 times between 1 and 3 am... so that kinda ruined our last night there! I still recommend this hotel just because of convenience, location and price...
