“Home Sweet Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2009

We rented the entire main house for our extended family for a family wedding in August 2009. The owners, Marsha and Dave, could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. The house is charming and filled with antiques throughout all the rooms. The breakfasts were fantastic; incredibly light and moist pancakes with blueberries fresh from their garden; eggs as light as soft meringues. All of the rooms were spotless, especially the bathrooms. The beds were plush with wonderful linens and thoughtful touches to make us feel welcome. The gardens are beautiful and welcoming. Be sure to stop in the antique shop and to visit the animals on the property.

We had a wonderful stay here. Only 2 nights but wished it was longer. the hosts, Marsha and David welcomed us into their home and made us feel very comfortable. Lots of information for you to peruse in their lounge area, ie maps, books, which they were happy for you to borrow during your stay. Our room was a good size, with ensuite, lots of character and nicely furnished. Breakfasts were the best we had tasted - Marsha's blueberry pancakes were to die for! Our vacation was during the Fall season and the scenery was truly beautiful. Would thoroughly recommend this b&b. We did not want to leave, they had looked after us so well!

We came up for a wedding and rented the house. The hosts were very gracious and welcoming, the rooms clean, the gardens beautiful, a great value. They made us feel like a member of their own family. Their breakfast was memorable--the very best pancakes with blueberries fresh picked from the garden, home made delicious bread, eggs that were so much fluffier and better than you could imagine, orange juice, delicious and unusual sausage, and the company of our wonderful hosts. We still have fond memories of our visit. Thank you for your effortts!

We just spent 5 nights at Nyes Green Valley farm. It was the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The physical building is charming with large very clean guest rooms. The owners are the best. They are warm and charming and very concerned about their guests comfort. The food is delicious and it never stops coming. There are several delicious choices and they change daily. On this visit my husband had to leave at 4 a.m. one morning to go on a fishing trip with our son. He woke up to a delicious coffee cake and coffee and juice at that hour in the morning. We cannnot wait to go back. This was a retutn visit for us.

We rented a small standalone cabin that is owned by this b&b. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The cabin is fully equipped with a small kitchenette, cutlery and cookware. We were two couples sharing it and it was a little small for 4 people, but we had a great time. The breakfast served here is fantastic and includes delicious homemade bread. The inn is located within easy driving of smuggler's notch.

What a wonderful surprise this affordable inn was! We stayed in the room with private bath; both room and bath were spacious and immaculate, with all the comforts of home. The 3 sitting areas downstairs are filled with antiques, as is the roomy dining area. The breakfasts were outstanding. Fresh coffee, teas, fruit, and orange juice was always available. Marsha was quite helpful in planning day trips, with maps and guide books readily available. We played with the 3 labs, visited the other animals, and the adjoining antique shop as well. Wonderful experience!!

  • Liked — I felt completely at ease
  • Disliked — very steep stairs
