“Exceeded Our Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2012

My husband and I chose Sterling Ridge for a romantic getaway. We stayed in one of the 1 bedroom deluxe cabins. It was perfect. It looked just like the photos on the website. Everything appeared new and was immaculate. The kitchen had everything you could need to prepare and eat meals, even wine glasses and a cork screw. It was well worth it to pay extra for a deluxe cabin vs the studio cabin for the jacuzzi tub and wood stove.

The resort is very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the on property hiking trails and appreciated that they linked up to local community trails for the days we wanted a longer hike. It's just a short drive into town for groceries and restaurants. And less than a hour to many touristy destinations.

We hope to go back with our two children and experience another season at Sterling Ridge.

Room Tip: We stayed in cabin 19, one of the pet free cabins due to allergies. Some of the cabins allow pets, s...

We booked a cabin after reading about it on a dogfriendly.com Internet site. Very nice cabins and trail network for hours of dog walks. Is great to have other dogs on site for interaction and the resident dogs even join in on walks. Only certain cabins are dog friendly so if you're not a dog lover, don't worry, there are only a few around. Friendly staff and local small town full of good people. Will be booking our second trip in a matter on months!

Room Tip: We had cabin 3 which is "dog friendly" and in a nice location.

This was our 6th anual ski trip and my brother inlaw picked this lodge based on it holding the amount people we had. We had 6 couples plus 10 kids abd there was plenty of room.
The location was perfect for sking, horseback riding, & zip lining. The town is about 10 mins. away and has a small grocery store. The grounds are beautiful and they even have 2 dogs who live on the property that the kids enjoyed. There is a huge game room that kept all of our kids entertained.
Everyone was super friendly and we are wanting to go back in the summer. You won't go wrong staying here.

I noticed a recent, terrible review on January 14th. I just want to say that my family has stayed at Sterling Ridge many, many times. Last year we had a graduation party there and rented 2 of the cabins for that. When I first discovered Sterling Ridge online I was terrified because I was afraid the cabins would not be as good as they appeared online. However, they were better. My Dad mentioned how well built they were and approved of everything - which is unusual for him! We are now able to have my nephew and his family over for dinner rather than eat at their small apartment. It gives his children a place to run around! Before we found Sterling Ridge we were renting 2 separate hotel rooms and had to eat all of our meals out. We can now stay together and do the cooking, which is great!

We stay there at least twice a year and absolutely love it. So please do not let that review discourage you. This is a great place.

Room Tip: We like cabin 17 but have stayed in 15, 16 and 17. (My Mom prefers 16. I like 17.)

We booked the Pond House for 3 night for 5 people. On the hotel website it looked charming and quaint. The real thing is nothing like the website.

The inside decoration are old, mouldy and badly needs updating. The house creeks and is very noisy. The fittings in the downstairs bathroom were bad, so the toilet shaked when used. The sink was cracked, there were dead flies on the wall (must have been there since fall) and the pictures show how nasty it is.

Carpets were not laid on the floor, but big pieces of carpet material used instead, so see pictures of how it looked. CHEAP!

Downstairs had a fire place which was on a raised surface, so was quite dangerous for kids and seniors.

Upstairs bathroom was dark and creepy, as bath looked like it was carved in an area of the wall.

Front door wouldnt work when we were there, so owner had to break glass to get access and didnt clean glass up either.

All this for a expensive price of $450 per night plus tax. If you need a place to stay and this is your only option, sleep in your car!

We were there in December when snow was on the ground and the only positive thing is the scenery is beautiful in the area but there is a massive power station at the bottom of the drive leading upto the pond house.

We LOVED Sterling Ridge Resort. We had a deluxe 1 Bedroom with King sized bed and woodstove, and hot tub. The resort itself was GORGEOUS!! Very private. The cabins were cute and cozy and SO CLEAN. They were pet friendly and the staff was great. I just cannot brag enough. I just couldnt wait to leave a review for them. We will definitely be going back.

Room Tip: One and two bedrooms deluxe..pet friendly if you have a pet. Ask for the fireplace or woodstove and...

We stayed at one of the 3 bedroom cabins for the week after Christmas. The cabin was brand new and the facilities were excellent. We all love how big and spacious the cabins were. We went skiing at Smuggler's Notch which is only a couple of miles away so the location was very convinient. We also loved the fact that you can borrow DVDs to watch in your cabin for free. I would love to go back!!!!
