“Beautiful Vermont - Awesome Mountain - Crowded Weekends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

We have been visiting Jay Peak for the last 5 years. It has been our favorite mountain for skiing and resort for family fun. This year however, our experience was slightly different. The lift lines were incredibly long - much longer than we had ever seen them in past years. From first tracks to closing, we were lucky to get 6 runs in via Bonaventure. The conditions do not disappoint though and never have. We stayed in the relatively new Hotel Jay for the second time. The hotel is beautiful and our small suite was perfect for our small family. We noticed that there were many kids running amok with no parents in sight. Do these parents really think their kids are behaving like little angels while they hang out in the bar or whatever? Reminds me of a Carnival cruise! While this is no fault of the resort, it negatively impacted our vacation.

“Nice Mountain, Parking is a problem”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

Jay is a great mountain for skiing, tree skiing and out of bounds skiing. They have spent a ton of money on lodging, the pump house water park, the ice arena, the new Stateside lodge and Alices table. They need to improve the parking situation for cars and buses. We went to Jay on February 15, 2014, Presidents weekend. The access road to the tram lodge was jammed with buses and cars. It took 20 minutes to get to the parking only to be told there was no parking available. Seriously? at 9:30 AM? Time for them to stop development on amenities and develop more parking. Spoke to one of the locals on the lift and he said it is always a problem on weekends

“Rustic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

Loved the resort. Clean comfortable beds clean resort and located right on the ski slopes. Ski in and ski out. Doesn't get any better than that for skiing.

“Ski at Jay Peak”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

I ski Stowe five days a week so coming to Jay was a new and different experience. The Tram was cool and the mountain is so laid back. Really enjoyed the variety of trails, lifts and views. As a treat I had Jenn as my afternoon guide. She brought me through the glades until the last chair. Her help in navigation and technique was perfect. I laughed like a kid and learned alot! Nothing like skiing with a local.

Food was so so at restaurant, pump house looked fun. We go to ski so the rest didn't really matter.

“great adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

Really enjoyed our family ski vacation to Jay Peak.
Highly recommend the ski school - Bonnie and Ben were outstanding teachers to our grand-daughter, Maddie. Also Micky gave me an excellent lesson that really helped me when we got a lot of powder on Friday. A terrific place - great atmosphere and really nice people.
