“Awesome Resort All Year Round!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

First time that i go to that area of the US Country... At the begin when you start driving between the roads of Vermont you cannot believe that you will arrive to a 5 Star Resort in the middle of Nothing!!! Snow everywhere and temperatures from 0 to -20F... We stay at the Hotel Jay and the Room was Incredible Comfortable, a small kitchenette and 2 double beds that perhaps was EXTRAORDINARY to sleep, they manage to have everything at the Resort even a 85 F degree WaterPark, with plenty of pools and tubes... The Restaurants are amazing... and the most important thing the trails on the mountain are very well designed!!! We are planing to purchase a Time Share space at that resort, because is not expensive and it is super luxury at the same time... They develop in a 3 Year period a complete Resort with the Investment of 800 Foreign People... They also have a Hockey Arena where you can watch games of the Little Leagues, and in the summer i hear that they have a Championship Golf Course... Super well Done!!!

For the third year in a row we stayed at Hotel Jay which is at the base of the mountain. It is ski in / ski out and is the best place to stay. The reason you want to bring your family here:
1. The hotel is connected to the waterpark and the main lodge. You can go to 6 different restaurants without going outside.
2. You get a complimentary ski locker on the main floor to store all your gear each night.
3. The rooms are beautifully decorated. They have stainless steel appliances, granite counter-tops and fireplaces. We would have breakfast and lunch in our suite and then go out for dinner.
4. Lots of kids activities if you get tired of skiing or it is too cold including sleigh rides, skating and an kids nature centre.

They have not overlooked any details. They provide complimentary valet parking, hot chocolate in your room and a very friendly staff. If I had to think of one negative thing (and it is hard to do) it would be that the elevators are slow and there are not enough of them.

They are doing a huge expansion (again) for 2015 which will make it an even better place to go. Hotel Jay is the closest to the water park so I would stay here opposed to the Tram Haus. Canadian money is taken at par so we paid in cash at the end which is an almost 10% savings these days. Try to request a mountain view as it is nice to watch the skiers as you have lunch.

Room Tip: Get a room on the third floor as there is a lounge in the hallway and ask for a mountain view

Second time to Jay Peak, and again what a great stay.

The highs:
- Amazing mountain with great skiing.
- Hotel Jay and Tramhaus just have beautiful rooms. Appreciate the full kitchens, comfy beds, and spaciousness.
- Lift lines are very manageable, rarely more than 10 minutes.
- Great food everywhere you go. Even the cafeteria food at lunch in the lodges in really good.
- Waterpark attached to Hotel Jay is just a great add-on. Kids love going there after a hard day's skiing.

The lows:
- The move of the Kids ski school from the Tramhaus to the Stateside Lodge. What was a very convenient walk thru the lobby of the Jay or Tramhaus to get to the school now has turned into a morning ordeal. You either have to take the shuttle (logistics a nightmare - for some reason they give door to door service to people staying in the condos, which turns a quick 3 minute ride into a 30 minute one) or get your geared up, get on the chairlift, and ski over. Neither is a particularly a good option.
- Pricing for ski school has gone up quite a bit, almost 50% higher than last year.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view. Some rooms don't have bathtubs just showers, may be an issue if you hav...

Stayed at 4048 Golf and Mountain Condo for MLK weekend and had a great experience. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat our breakfast, lunch and make dinners. We had a one bedroom with one bath. The living area and bathroom was on the main floor and the bedroom was downstairs built into the hill so there was outside access from both levels. The bed was great and having access to a washer/dryer made me realize I didn't need to pack much.

The only recommendation I would make for this is to put a television in the bedroom downstairs. Our 8 year old slept on the queen sofa bed (which was very comfortable) in the living room but in order to put her to bed, we had to go to the bedroom downstairs which only has the bed, dresser and nightstands. We read magazines which passed the time but it would have been nice to have options.

We were about a 10 minute walk in ski boots from the Village Double Chair but we only walked once in three days because a shuttle always came around within a minute of coming or going. The shuttle service was excellent and very frequent.

Room Tip: In order to be closer to the lifts, ask for condos closer to #4000. The higher the number, the long...

This is our second trip to Jay Peak. The skiing is fine, not much snow, but that is mother nature's fault currently and there are a lot of trails to choose from, lift lines moderate. Last visit we stayed at a slope side condo, which was old, but was in a great location. We opted for the Stoney Path Economy unit this time...and you get what you pay for. It was spacious enough for all 5 with 2 bedrooms and two small baths. We expected outdated furnishings in an economy unit, but we did not expect it to be in a state of disrepair. The curtains in all the bedrooms are ripped and hanging down, actually have paperclips holding together on some. No curtains or blinds on the back door. Bathroom stained and overall not very clean. Comforters very old, very worn and pilling.Shag 70's carpet upstairs is heavily stained and light fixtures missing their covers. Bathroom mirror broken and taped together with duct tape, with peoples names carved in it. I think the owner's have probably not stayed here for a while, but a small investment to fix these items would make a big difference. No assigned parking means if someone is in the spot in front of condo, you need to park your car down the road. Very surprised had WIFI, but could only shower 2 people before water ran out. Food on the mountain is typical resort fair...mountain dicks pretty decent pizza. We will let the management know when we leave, but wont stay again in Stoney path.

Room Tip: Stay slope side condo or in the hotel

We are regulars at Jay Peak. We bring our grandson to the water park and stay over night. Park is great, always better when it is not too busy but you can not fault them for that! Rooms are great, spacious, clean, great customer service. My only complaint is the food at the Foundry Pub & Grille... It's hit or miss. but don't let this sway you, I've had a great meal there but a couple of times not, but there are plenty of other places to eat right on site. Have never gone wrong with Mountain Dick's Pizzeria! Jay isn't just for skiers..... Love love the place!!

Room Tip: 2nd floor in Hotel Jay is what you want if you're coming for the waterpark

I wish I could stay there longer!!! Every single associate was polite, caring and professional. My ski teachers Danny and Jack were the reason I can ski now. Thank you, guys!!!
The room was spotless and had everything one needs on vacation. The onsite convenience store is great!
I will recommend the resort to all my friends and family!!!
