“Good again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

New owners as of October 2012 have brought very good food and service. The fish and chips, baked goat cheese and brownie Sundae were all delicious as was the house cab. Thank you for bringing good food back to Fairfax.

“Under new management again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

The Country Pantry reopened this week. The interior has hardly changed, same wooden tables and framed photography. The food is another matter--the last iteration of this restaurant served really bad food except for the breakfasts. The new version, while slightly more pricey, also has considerably better food. No more all-day breakfast, but the beer-battered fish and chips that I ordered were crisp and well-seasoned, the cole slaw was excellent, the tartar sauce appeared to be freshly made, and even the decaf coffee was tasty and fresh. They apparently do a Sunday brunch, and are open every day but Monday. It's about time this area had a decent restaurant again!

“Great Place for Lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

We have eaten at this restaurant on 3 occasions. Each time, the food has been really good. The bread is homemade, the portions are large, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. This is where we go when we visit our son at the Vermont Woodworking School. Have not yet tried their dinners.

“Very Biker and Family Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

This is a great all around country restaurant. Our motorcycle club has been eating at the Country Pantry for the past ten years. We are a "ride and eat" club, and this place is a favorite stop. The food and service are always very good. Many bikers stop here, and the welcome mat is always out for us. Lots of families and seniors also eat here. There is good food and lots of it. Breakfasts are a big draw. The place has a homey feel.
Definitely worth it.

“We Will Be Back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

Terrific lunch. Minestrone Soup and a huge BLT for my husband and I had the special: BBQ Pork Platter with a side of the best Ratatouille I have ever had.
