“Great deli food, so-so service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

Here's what I love:
Their prepared salads (garden, tabouleh, macaroni, potato, etc.) are great. The potato salad in particular is so delicious. We are vegetarian, so we often order a veggie with hummus on a grinder roll, with dill havarti cheese. This sandwich comes to about $10, but it's easily enough for two people to share, especially if you order the above mentioned sides. They also have yummy baked goods for dessert.

Here's what we don't love:
We have often arrived as much as two and a half hours prior to closing to find the chairs on the tables and everyone cleaning up. I'd say half the time we go we have to ask them if they're closing. They always reply "no" like we're crazy, but they certainly don't look like they want anyone to come and stay for a while. You have to remove the chairs from the table to have a seat. I had to wait for the girl to finish spraying down the drink cooler before I could get a drink. The service can also be so-so, verging on rude. This is pretty consistent.

All that being said, it's a great place to pick up a deli-type lunch or dinner. My non-veg friends rave about the huge piles of meat they put on their sandwiches. Everyone loves the food, and the atmosphere inside is actually charming if they'd only wait to clean up when they're actually closed.

“Good food, high prices, bad service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2011

The sandwiches here are pretty good, although nothing you can't get down the street at a few other places in the area. While the food is high quality the prices are much higher than they hsould be for what you get, this place is way overhyped so they get away with overcharging. Also have had some bad experience with the service here and surprisingly it wasnt by just an employee, it was by the manager or maybe even owner. We had a question about something and the employee was really trying to help us out but then someone came over who seemed to be the manager or owner and was very rude and very cheap about the whole situation.
