“Not just for romantics”

Good friends of mine were getting married at a nearby inn and suggested several inns in the area. I researched each of their recommendations and fell in love with the beautiful Victorian house. The website was easy to navigate and when I called to reserve a room, I was greeted with a warm, English accent. The Innkeepers, John and Julie, welcomed you with open arms. It was like staying with your favorite cousins or some old friends. Breakfast was an outstanding affair and truly should not be missed. The rooms were better than the pictures posted on the website. Not only have the innkeepers painstakingly remodeled this inn, they are what makes the place great and it should not be missed if you are traveling to Vermont. I would not recommend any other place after seeing several of the other inns.

I brought a friend along for company and we toured the local area. John and Julie are well versed in the area and offered excellent recommendations. The gave great directions and know the little in's and out's of the places they recommend.

The house had all the amenities of a modern hotel with the class and charm of an old world inn. I will definitely be back!

What lovely people & what great New England breakfasts!
We stayed with Julie & Jon for 4 nights at their really charming B&B in the delightful village of Chester, Vermont. Our rooms (Princess Alice & Prince Alfred) had great appeal with TV, fire & a little classical music to ease you in each night. A real 'luxury home from home feel'.
J & J are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Afternoon tea (with home made cakes) as we arrived on our first day was a real treat after a long drive from NYC and truly set the tone for the rest of our stay. Easy, relaxing, quiet, homely - all the things you really want in Vermont in the Fall (or at any other season!)
J & J also recommended some great restaurants nearby for our evening meals and after a good nights sleep we always looked forward to our exeptionally tasty New England breakfast - superb! A great place to stay in southern Vermont: truly devine & delicious!

  • Liked — Clean, homely, great food & hospitality
  • Disliked — Not much
  • Tips/Secrets — Leslie's Restaurant in Rockingham (8 miles away) is great for a special evening meal

One of the best B&B inns at which we've had the fortune to stay (and THANK YOU to whoever cancelled so we had the suite available with such short notice!)! Jon and Julie are good-natured, good-humored and attentive hosts...a delightful couple! The inn is warm, welcoming and beautifully appointed! Our suite was spacious, comfortable (FIREPLACE, AND HUGE SITTING TUB), and (rarest of rare) had a VERY comfortable bed! Breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the other guests with whom we were seated each morning. All this, and it is located in a beautiful and charming part of Vermont, easily accessible to another number of wonderful spots to visit! Over the years, we have been to many inns, particularly in the New England area, and have found only a small handful that we hope to visit again. We will most definitely return to this one...and we cannot say enough to recommend Inn Victoria!

  • Liked — Everything!
  • Disliked — Nothing....well....maybe if we could have the ocean nearby! But seriously, I can think of nothing we didn't like!
  • Tips/Secrets — Be ready to enjoy the inn itself, and don't use it only as a rest-spot!

Beginning with our spacious room complete with jacuzzi and patio our stay was so relaxing. The breakfasts were gourmet but not over the top. Hosts, Julie and Jon, were welcoming, warm and informative but not "in your face". I would certainly reccommend The Inn Victoria to our friends and family.

We just spent a weekend (September 9&10) at this lovely Bed & Breakfast in the picturesque town of Chester, VT. The Inn itself is lovely and well maintained. We had a mid-range price room which was very comfortable and super clean. What really makes this B&B special are the Innkeepers', John and Julie. They are very interactive and provide a family style atmosphere. We had lots of fun getting to know them and other guests over the wonderful breakfasts that Julie makes every morning. There are also lot's of small things that they do that add to the experience. Freshly baked pastries during the day, access to the internet on a central computer, the latest dvd's. The local is great. Located in the center of Chester and within easy driving distance to many Vermont attractions.

We have stayed at a number of B&B's over the years and this was our top experience. We would highly recommend this Inn.

My husband and I just spent a very relaxing weekend at the Inn Victoria. The accommodations were just as they were depicted on their website (and similar to how they were described on other tripadvisor reviews). - The room we had was large and comfortable - very romantic. The jacuzzi was a great feature! Breakfasts were fantastic and the morning conversation with the owners and other guests was thoroughly enjoyable. The innkeepers were as warm and inviting as their B&B! Chester is a great location - quiet and uncongested, yet close to many of Vermont's great attractions. We would highly recommend this B&B! We certainly plan to make a vist to the Inn Victoria an annual event!

  • Liked — Comfort, room-wise and warmth of innkeepers
  • Disliked — No in-room fridge. We would've liked to have been able to keep beverages in our room.
  • Tips/Secrets — Consider summer travel to VT - off season rates, less congestion.

My husband and I spent a weekend at with Jon and Julie Pierce at Inn Victoria during a recent biking trip through Vermont and had a wonderful time. Jon and Julie were fabulous hosts, with an interesting background. (Don't forget to ask them how they ended up in Vermont.)

Throughout the weekend they made us feel very welcome and the service was incredible - we enjoyed (too many of) Julie's cookies our first afternoon, browsed through their library, borrowed one of two of their DVD's and the next morning enjoyed a wonderful breakfact - which included the kind of omelettes I wish I could make myself :-) Our room was lovely, with french doors onto the back porch and whirlpool, and we loved the soaking tub in our room.

Inn Victoria is a charming Inn in a charming settting with charming hosts. We will certainly return to Inn Victoria if we happen to be anywhere near Chester in the future!

  • Liked — The Hosts
  • Disliked — we only wished it cooled down enough in the evening to enjoy the hot tub.
