“They do it right!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here during fall foliage and were very impressed. We have stayed in many B&Bs and this was one of the best. The owners, Penny & Dan were very helpful and happy to do anything to make our trip more enjoyable. We stayed in the Prince Albert room and were impressed with how well handicap accesable it was. We are not handicap but for those that are, every need was thought of. We are mother and daughter and may B&Bs seem to only cater to couples. However, we felt very welcomed here and the room was set up nicely with two beds. The beds were very comfotable and the sheets were so comfortable that we bought some. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. The high tea was also lovely. If you are thinging about saying anywhere in this area we recommend stay here. You will not be dissapointed. You will be staying at the best.

We have just had the most beatiful wedding, a candlelight ceremony in the front parlor & reception fit for royalty in the dining room, at Inn Victoria-far beyond anything we could have hoped for or dreamed of- We fell in love at 1st sight w/ the Inn and the Inn Family-Dan, Penny,Jess,Rachael,Gail, Kim & Ashley. The love, joy, prayer & loving attention to every detail was a blessing that has truly left us in awe of the memories the Inn Victoria family has helped to create-We will cherish every moment for the rest of our lives-& if we forget any single moment we have Dan's 200 plus photos-everything from the altar we created to the bride's shoes! This was the blessing & memory of a lifetime-after an exhaustive & thorough search the lenght & bredth of NE, Inn by Inn, we are convinced that Inn Victoria is the only place on earth that our beautiful wedding could have taken place. We are forever & eternally grateful Love Judi & Neal

Room Tip: Princess Alice room is our favorite- lovely morning sunshine- however all the rooms are beautifully...

Do you dream of being in the most calm, comforting place where people are there to ensure you have the perfect relaxing time during your vacation? That place is Inn Victoria where Penny and Dan have put together an experience you don't want to miss. We've been to Chester a number of times and this is the first stay at Inn Victoria, but definitely not the last. The room was wonderful, linens fantastic and the deck with hot tub made the quiet Vermont evenings even better. The inn has a unique wine rack offering you a number of choices, just asking that you replace any bottle with one you purchase. Oh, the breakfasts that are included are not to be misses as Penny whips up great starts to your day. Sweet attacks are easy to cure with cookies and other treats always available.

We will definetly book at Inn Victoria our next trip and plan to also take advantage of the Vermont Inn-to-Inn walk program they participate in.

I stayed at the Inn Victoria for a mother-daughter getaway during Labor Day weekend. What a great find! We were greeted outside by one of the owners as soon as we pulled up and immediately felt like we were staying with friends for the weekend rather than at a stranger's business. The highlight of the first day was high tea. Don't think a cup of hot water and a cookie -- there was enough food for an entire meal! First, guests pick their own tea cup from the numerous china cabinets. Then they are invited outside to the backyard where tables are carefully arranged. The Inn Victoria staff prepares a plated tower of scones with out-of-this-world lemon cream sauce, mini sandwiches on delicious cheese bread, quiche, fruit, and mini desserts. And of course, guests can select their tea from a large menu of options, which is constantly refilled and kept warm. Following high tea, we explored the quaint town of Chester, enjoyed the local shops (check out Davallia Art & Accents), and grabbed dinner at a pub down the road. Businesses and restaurants shut down fairly early, and once we returned around 9 one of the owners offered to light the fire pit in the backyard and bring us a bottle of wine. How relaxing! The following day, we enjoyed a homemade breakfast on the patio. This included a muffin, fruit, and a large omelet with sausages. More than enough delicious food to start your day off right! The owners are also very accommodating to those with food allergies or special requests. Overall, the Inn Victoria has one of the best staffs (did I mention they offer this great customer service with only three people?) I have found at any B&B or hotel. I would highly recommend staying there.

Of course you ARE royalty! We are especially thrilled to host mother and daughter, "together time" at Inn Victoria. We dearly respect and honor those who want to enjoy quiet time together to reconnect or simply just relax and enjoy each other. It is our pleasure to see you happy.
Thank you so much for your wonderful note. Keep smiling!

The Cotes are wonderful people, the four of us felt so welcomed, The Inn had great accomadations , delicious food, and all the little extras to make you feel special. We loved the hot tub and the firepit. The location is perfect, right in town. This was our first day on a four day Inn to Inn walk , and I must say this Inn was our favorite by far!

We visited Chester to attend an art show and stayed in the Princess Alice room. It was a lovey, spacious room with a huge bathroom that included a whirlpool tub. The innkeepers are very friendly and encouraged us to enjoy the snacks (cookies, whoopie pie cake) provided. They also provided complimentary beverages which are always welcome since it's not a hotel with a vending machine. The breakfast was wonderful and included a couple courses. Please do ensure you attend high tea if offered since it's not an additional fee if you are staying at the inn. The tea was great and snacks provided even better. Overall, this was in our top 5 B&B experiences of all time and we would stay here if heading back to Vermont.

The only con, if you could call it that, was that parking is on street and I can see that it could get busy during busy times of year since there are other businesses next door.

Room Tip: Princess Alice room lovely and enjoyed the whirlpool tub.
