“Hohum Pizza”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

Average pizza, average prices, quick service. Good place to stop while on Church St shopping and looking for something quick. Don't expect gourmet...

“Stick to their specialty: italian”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

Patio is on pedestrian mall, so it's a great place to be on a nice summer evening. Foodwise, it had its up and downs. Stromboli (sort of a pizza wrap) was the best, hot and very tasty. The salad part of the chicken caesar salad was also very good but the chicken was pale and tasteless. The fish part of the fish and chip tasted store bought, previously frozen, not very good. It was replaced by a much better crab cake sandwich. Good selection of draught beer starting at $3.50.

“A pretty good place for a quick bite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012 via mobile

I am pretty particular when it comes to Italian cuisine. This place had good sauce... That's very important. We also found the service to be good. Decent place!!

“Overpriced generic pizza”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

$2.75 a slice for sub-par generic pizza. Ordered 3 slices and nothing else and the bill was $12 including a 15% tip. If the pizza was great with fresh mozzarella, fresh homemade sauce and fresh basil MAYBE I could understand charging so much for a slice but when the we were served three slices of generic American pizza I was very disappointed. The pizza was warm and edible, but that's about all I can say for Ken's Pizza.

“Food was good, service was not...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

The Church Street Marketplace is lined with dining options. Most eateries offer outside seating areas, which we selected. During a day trip to Burlington, VT, we chose Ken's Pizza by chance, but didn't order the pizza, we had sandwiches. The sandwiches were good, but pricey ($32 for two, including tip). I had the Roast Beef with horseradish, my wife the Caprese Sandwich. We indulged (it was the 4th) and started with an order of Onion Rings. They were good; lightly battered and crunchy.

The owner's of this place forgot to tell the hostess and wait staff that it's OK to smile; each pouting better than the next. There was little interaction with our waitress between the time the order was filled and when it came time to pay the bill. I attributed the "attitude" to the fact that most of the staff appeared to be teenage girls.

I don't think food and service qualities will be an issue for Ken. Local foot traffic will continue to provide the diners. I'm doubt that many visitors to the marketplace check TripAdvisor before they order a pizza.
