“Brrrr”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

It was quite chilly here on a February morning, even compared to the rest of Burlington, because of the breeze off the lake. But it was still worth it to enjoy the serene, beautiful views. On the east coast, it's rare to see an "urban port" this tranquil. Definitely worth a visit.

“The Jewel of Burlington”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

One cannot visit Burlington without checking out the Waterfront. Stunning views of the Adirondacks especially at sunset.

In summer, the place is scattered with people playing Frisbee, volleyball, bocce, or just lounging in the sun. There are large events there too like the marathon, concerts, dragon boat races and so much more.

In winter, only runners and brave walkers can be found exploring the Waterfront. There is the Penguin Plunge event where crazy people jump into the water for charity.

As of January 2013, the mayor has reserved the right to sell off the old Moran Plant to private interests. Yes, it's an eyesore but has so much potential! The public should have a right to say what goes in there - or if it should be torn down altogether. If you're so inclined, call the mayor and ask him to keep it public.

“Great place to see Lake Champlain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

There's a paved recreation path that goes along the waterfront. Perfect for a walk with kids and pets (on leash). If you have a dog, you might be interested in knowing that there's a fenced in dog park about a block north of waterfront park, right on the recreation path.

“One of the best places to enjoy any time of the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Fabulous waterfront with restaurants, bike paths, and gorgeous sunsets. You can go running along the lake, roller blade or just walk to enjoy the scenery - beautiful lake with the Adirondack mountains on the other side, sail boats, etc. There is a sailing club where you can rent boats or bring your own kayak.

“Great views of Lake Champlain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

Great views of Lake Champlain, with walking path used for running and biking. See the Burlington harbor and eat at the Boathouse. Sunsets are outstanding. Just a short walk to the Burlington pedestrian mall and shops and restaurants.
