5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2010

My husband & I recently stayed @ the Bel-Aire Motel in Burlington, Vt. What a lovely, clean & quaint motel. We enjoyed our stay so much that 1 nite ended up being 5 nites. The Labelle family were exceptional hosts & very attentive to make our stay an experience we will never forget!

We stayed here as part of our visit to New England.

Having made the decision to stay there based on other reader reviews, I was more than disappointed. The room was very very basic and with only one pillow each (why??) and it did feel like nylon sheets on the bed

We spent as little time in the room as possible and I wouldnt ever rush back again.

clean and comfortable, but if that is the 4th best property in the area, the rest must truly be dumps.

I made a reservation and gave my credit card information. When I called a few days before to confirm, they had no record of my reservation. That is frightening when you have given your credit card information to someone. So far no one else has used the card but it's no way to run a business.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2009

We took an unplanned trip up to Burlington for the weekend and we stopped at the Bel Aire Motel to see if they had rooms available. We stopped in around 10am in the morning and they didn't have a room available right away, but told us there was a room opening soon and they would make it a priority to get it ready for us right away. They gave us a ton of great recommendations on what to do around town. One of the suggestions was the North Beach.

The beach was amazing!! I've never been to a cleaner beach....the beach was packed with people, but not to the point where it was annoying. We spent most of our time there. The water was warm and you could swim out about 200 yards and still only be waste deep in the water...it was perfect.

When we got back to the motel.....the room was ready for us and everything was clean. The bathroom is a bit small....but it doesn't matter....it was clean and only a little less than a mile from the town. You could easily walk to get to town, but parking is cheap or sometimes free if you decide to drive.

If you are looking for a clean, convenient and inexpensive place to stay in Burlington, I would definitely recommend the Bel Aire! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! We would definitely stay here again!!!

If you're looking for a good deal on some basic accomodations at a relatively affordable price this would be the place. Its clean, comfortable, and close to the action in town. The pwners are friendly and helpful.

I landed at this motel late at night and without a reservation, and it so happened that they had a vacancy. The room I got was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and my stay was restful.

This place is a short drive, or a long walk, from downtown Burlington.
