“good food but noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

We ate lunch at the Farmhouse Tap & Grill. We were able to call in for reservations & were seated as soon as we arrived. The service was prompt, the server friendly & we enjoyed our meal. It is definitely a place for the younger generation & those who love to try new & different beers. We're not either, but were glad we tried it. My sandwich was enough for 2 meals. The french fries were nothing special but the beef in my sandwich was delicious. The best part was that most of what they serve is locally grown.

“Have been a few times, love the atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

Love the atmosphere, the beer choices, the beer garden in summer, good burgers, local products, however I did not enjoy the macaroni and cheese at all, not very cheesy when I had it. Still, a good choice when you are downtown.

“Local products”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

We had lunch over there in April, then dinner in December and February: we tried many tasteful meals.
Local cheese, beer, meat and veggies are the menu's stars. You can't go wrong with the mac n cheese, a burger or the meatloaf.

Only complaint: some might find disappointing to get plenty of raw carrots when the menu specifies "roasted local veggies". Anyhow, in this course (the meatloaf), it's the gravy who steals the show!

Overall, this is a great place to stop by for a relaxed lunch or evening with friends and family.

“Worth the wait!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

While visiting the University of Vermont, my son and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here! While we waited for our table, we explored the area and found some unique shops and activities (street players, ice sculptures, igloos, etc). The food was delicious, fresh and well prepared. My son said he's never had such delicious roasted chicken (made ME feel good) and his roasted root vegetables were cooked perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed my cheddar & ale soup along with a scrumptious quinoa & cranberry dish. Really a nice meal.
