the food here is fantastic! we opted to wait in the downstairs lounge which makes waiting much more enjoyable. we were able to get a appetizer while we had some drinks . the menu is creative and delish. its nice that they use local ingredients. the stave is also very friendly and helpfull with any questions we had.

“Absolutely Excellent!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

The cheese soup was superb. The cheese platters were terrific. The burger was the best I'd ever had. The place was super packed - it seems that even on a week night they are always busy, but that's the sign of a good restaurant. We didn't have reservations, so we waited over an hour and it was well worth it. Enjoy a beer and an appetizer downstairs in the bar. It can get a little loud there, but the atmosphere is a good gathering place for friends and they serve up some good drafts. Seriously, this was - hands down - the best restaurant we went to in our travels across Vermont. A definite MUST do!

“Good food, great beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

All local grown food, great beer selection. Menu was somewhat limited. I had the Turkey burger with bacon. Burger was a little dry but the homemade ketchup and bacon made it tasty. Very noisy, not what i would call a great date place.

“Great Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Summer--the patio is fantastic for lunching on the great sandwiches and excellent pate will sipping on some artisinal craft brews. Winter--the basement! Wow--just apps, but that same great beer selection in a classic beautiful atmosphere. You will have great service. The thing is, well--the dining area isn't all that different from when they converted the McDonalds, so be prepared for a wave of underwhelm when you first lay eyes on the place--then sit down, eat, drink and be dazzled and you'll be planning your next visit before the check arrives. Cool spot!
