“Well done renovations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

We stayed one night at the recently renovated Sheraton Burlington and were very impressed with the new finishes. The public areas benefit from new carpeting, lighting, wallpaper and paint. The rooms are also updated with the aforementioned new finishes and new beds, linens, and duvets. The king bed we had was super comfy and the duvet was nice and warm. The room also boasted a big flat screen TV and a coffee maker. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were not upgraded and it shows. Clean and functional, just not in keeping with the rest of the room. At least the combo tub/shower had grab bars. Wifi was free for 24 hours but after that you pay. C'mon....you still try and charge for what is now seen as basic service???? Why not charge for TV, or use of the phone while you're at it?

The hotel allows you to park for at least a week at no charge if your flying out of Burlington and will provide an airport shuttle (again, no charge). Be aware, however, that if your flight arrives in Burlington after midnight the shuttle service ends at midnight. We were told upon check-in that this would be the case. Our flight did arrive after midnight but when we collected our bags and went out to get a taxi we found out that the flight crew stay at the Sheraton and that they were being shuttled back to the hotel. It cost us 20 bucks so it wasn't the end of the world, just seemed a little unfair.

Room Tip: ask for a room not facing onto an inner courtyard.

The property is quite spread out (multiple buildings) all built around the eating areas and pool. While it has an open floor plan with many windows, I was amazed at how warm the place was kept. rooms are a typical Sheraton for the states; nothing spectacular. It is also located very close to the airport.

We stayed here in the summer and we decided to stay again after our vacation in the south between Christmas and New Year. We got a really good price online. The staff were friendly. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. We really like that we can leave our car for the week and use the shuttle service to the airport. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms would be nice but there is a good wifi connection in the lobby by the roaring fire.

We stayed 2 nights in Burlington at the Sheraton.
Another run of the mill medium (3 star) hotel.
The club level rooms come with free continental breakfast and in the room wi-fi.
All else is the same as many same ratings hotels.
No fridge in the room.
amenities are like most other places as is the service, friendly and efficient.
Location is good as are most of the hotels in this small city.
We have stayed in many Burlington hotels, sofar the double tree is the winner in town and the essex one out of town.

Room Tip: Book the club level on the top floor, free breakfast, but don't sleep in all is gone by 9 am.10.30...

Green Features: As with most 3 star and up places staff is mostly friendly (eligibillity for tips) others are ok.

The Sheraton Burlington is very pet friendly and and the staff is very accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept really well all three nights we were here.

Our only complaints are with those small things that make the difference between our rating being very good and not excellent. There is no free wifi and no free coffee available in the lobby. One just expects those things now, and it seems cheap to have to pay for those. Also there aren't any refrigerators in the room, which is a bit inconvenient.

Green Features: You can go for the environmentally friendly option which provides you with extra points.

Pay the extra $30 bucks and stay at the Hotel Vermont in town. You can tell they spent some money to renovate the property not too long ago, but it was merely a painting of the pig. The shower tile grout was yucky, shower drained slowly and the toilet did not flush completely. There were creepy pipes going through the bath ceiling area. I wasn't sure if the bottled water was complementary or not because the tags on them were confusing. I went to fill out the room service card for breakfast and it was already filled in. The pool was closed for construction but when we booked our rooms it did not say anything about it being out of service. The gym was in a closed off room behind the construction and there was not a key card access working to give you a sense of security. People were nice but our check in took 3 times longer than usual because the lady appeared to be new and didn't know what she was doing. In the morning when we went to get breakfast the only option was the over priced buffet even though they showed a menu for breakfast in the guest services book. Overall a disappointing hotel experience.

Room Tip: Not for the single female traveler. We were in a lower level so maybe the upper floors do not feel s...
