Right off Exit 2 on I-91 and accepting all major credit cards, this place is like the platonic version of a deli, it's what every deli should aspire to be! This place employs a staff of chefs that really know what they're doing. Parking can be difficult on a holiday weekend, but believe me it's worth any hassle. They've got freshly baked brioche style rolls and top quality fresh ingredients that comprise their extensive sandwich list. I like the "Route 9" roast beef sandwich, but if you're looking to get creative, their happy to make it your way. Beyond amazing sandwiches, they're hot dishes are out of this world, fully loaded Mac N Cheese, and the best maple pulled pork I've ever had. Not enticing enough? How about delicious chewy cookies the size of your head? A full assortment of homemade pies and pastries can be found and whatever the baker's special is for the the day is probably the best bet. With the quality of their food and their great location, these guys could charge an arm and a leg, but that wouldn't be the VT style, this place is a bargain. Indeed the hardest part of coming to VCD is not walking out with one of everything. There's no seating so be prepared to eat on or in your car, because there's no way you'll be able to wait until you get home!
