“Don and Janeen Wonderful stay at the Green River Bridge House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Most relaxing time ever . . . the sound from the river puts you to sleep, the aroma of the wonderful breakfast awakens and satisfies all particular tastes...and the magnificent setting arouses the rest of your senses. We stayed four days and can't wait to indulge ourselves again by returning.

Inn keeper is a real delight.

Room Tip: All rooms looked lovely. Picture perfect inside and out.

“Beautiful Location. NOT Family Friendly.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

After reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor we chose this B&B for our first visit to Vermont. We were excited to stay here on a family vacation with our 11-month-old daughter and flew in from Utah, but upon arrival were promptly made aware that contrary to the online reviews (which mention children staying here), children are not welcome in the home. We quickly learned why as you can hear everything through the walls. I expect that Joan was worried the baby would cry all night and keep the other guests up. Luckily we were not turned away, but the experience was a stressful one and we felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome in the home during our visit.

That being said, the location is beautiful and the home is charming. Breakfast was also good - an egg dish, bacon, cantaloupe and kiwi. The bed was slightly uncomfortable, but it's hard to get a good night sleep when you're up all night stressed that you'll be given the boot if your baby makes a sound (which she didn't).

We wouldn't recommend this B&B to our friends, although we would recommend them making the drive out there to see the covered bridge and historic buildings.

Client did not tell me she had a baby when making the booking. I would not have accepted the reservation . When she appeared at the door i said "i did not know you had a baby" her responce was "oh, i must have forgotten to tell you" Children that are over 14 are welcome. My clients come here to rest and unwind from their own children. She also said you could hear everything through the walls. I personally had the house renovated and sound walls put in.....this is completely false. I have never had anyone complain about the beds....they are high quality! I suspect she did not sleep because I believe the baby was in bed with the couple! I do not have porta cribs etc. because I do not accept babies.
All one needs to do is look at my other reviews to get a clear picture of my establishment!

“The best of of the best B & B's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Absolutely the best B & B by all standards--an idyllic location in the woods by a covered bridge, waterfall, meandering stream, and a quaint church. The home is beautiful and comfortable with gorgeous furnishings. The innkeeper, Joan Seymour, is a warm and gracious hostess who we consider to be our friend after two visits. We can't wait to return again in the Spring. Lowell and Marilyn Heinke

We spend 2 days in Green River Bridge House, it is a wonderful place, wonderful host, the Sunshine room with jacuzzi is perfect and the breakfast is delicious! We highly recommend a stay in Green River Bridge House, please be careful to the instruction to go there as the GPS is not always reliable!

“Hidden Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

When we could not find lodging on a " leafers weekend," we struck gold - a late cancellation. We found the GRBH, a beautifully restored, immaculate, 18th century country house on the river with a covered bridge and country church nearby. Joan Seymour, the charming innkeeper, greeted us warmly and showed us to our room with a jacuzzi and balcony overlooking the river. A superb breakfast of fresh fruit compote, soufflé, bacon and pastry was enhanced by the friendly atmosphere Joan created among her guests. As we later said our goodbyes, we were sure our next stay would be longer.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, but the Sunset room has a jacuzzi and spacious balcony with a beautiful view o...
