We just returned from three days at the Blueberry Hill Inn, and I can't wait to go back. Everything was perfect. The inn is beatifully maintained, and the food is superb. The gardens and plants are extraordinary. If you enjoy hiking, there are several trails all around the inn. An added touch are the chocolate chip cookies and freshly squeezed lemonade available around the clock. The inn is very family friendly and has its own pond perfect for swimming. Don't forget to check out the lovely nearby towns of Middlebury and Brandon.

We stayed overnight at the Blueberry Hill Inn and it was a terrific experience. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful, and the rooms cool and simply furnished, without a lot of the clutter usually found at bed and breakfast inns. Try to get a corner room if one is available. We loved swimming in the Inn's pond--don't be afraid to try it. Hiking and walking trails are on the property (though mosquitos on the woodsy trails can be a big problem...be sure to take some repellant with you in June at least). The food was fresh and exceptional--it reminded me of those great wine country inns in California. Do take your own alcoholic beverages if you enjoy a drink of wine or other, since the Inn doesn't have a license to sell alcoholic beverages. I'd love to go back in the winter and cross-country ski on the Inn trails, or in the fall when the leaves turn.

The warm hospitality at Blueberry Hill Inn was a highlight of our stay in New England.

Situated in a conservation area, the inn is surrounded by native woodland, streams and lakes with a variety of great trails to hike during the day.

The rooms were lovely, with big beds and quilts, antique furniture and wooden floorboards.

We ate breakfast and evening meal during our time there and the food was the best we had in the US - fresh produce cooked to the highest standards. We were initially reluctant about sharing a table with the rest of the guests, but it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience and we met some great people.

Overall, one of best places we've stayed in.

We stayed at the Inn three years ago, and have chosen not to return since. While the Inn itself and the surroundings are beautiful, we were a little disappointed with the way the Inn was run. During our stay someone had charged our stay to our credit card without letting us or (apparently) the other Inn staff know. Then, when we did check out, they attempted to charge us for the stay a second time, apparently unaware that we had already been charged. Twice the cost of the stay was beyond our credit limit. The staff held my friend’s license as ransom and asked us to drive into the nearest town to get cash to pay the bill. Confused as to why our credit card was over limit (we had planned ahead and knew that we had plenty of spending available for the stay), and very embarrassed, we obliged. About a week later we received a check from the Inn for the cost of the stay, but with no real apology for double-charging us, embarrassing us and having us spend an hour maneuvering snowy Vermont terrain as we drove to town to fetch cash. The whole episode really put a damper on what would otherwise have been a nice trip. The food was very good and the rooms decent, but the unprofessional management was a big disappointment.
