We have travelled to Bennington many times usually for the cross country skiing at Prospect Mountain which has the most reliable snow we have found. PM has a variety of easy trails, enough intermediates to make an interesting day and some more difficult ones I have never attempted. We usually stay at the Kirkside motel which is relatively inexpensive, clean and pleasant although the rooms are small. For lunch or breakfast (but not on Sunday) we like Alldays and Onions. For dinner our preference is the Four Chimneys which is excellant but relatively pricey for the area. After skiing it is an easy drive to Manchester for dinner at the Black Swan and shopping. We highly recommend this delightful area.
