My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night during a trip to Bennington. We booked an economy room on the side of the motel that does not face the street for a very nice price. The owner Chet was very nice and offered us advice about the area. The room was not big but was comfortable, one of the cleanest motel rooms I've ever seen, and had an updated (though basic) bathroom. There was a 13" tv with plenty of channels, a coffee maker, and mini fridge. There could have been a few more comforts such as a couple of extra pillows, shampoo (bathroom only stocked with 2 bars of soap), etc, but for the price I was paying I didn't really care. Chet said that our part of the motel was not insulated, but the heat and AC in the room worked well. Despite the lack of insulation, we hardly heard our neighbors except when they opened their front door.
There were two chairs outside every room, and several benches on the lawn that faced the view of the mountains. The view is more impressive from the street than from the property, but it was still nice to have a large outdoor area for hanging out. The motel is only a 5 minute drive from downtown Bennington, and it was nice to be tucked away and not staying on a busy commercial street where many of the other hotels were located.
This is a great hotel if you want a quiet, no-frills, well-priced, comfortable place to spend the night.
