I'm from Bennington, I moved to Idaho four years ago. Each year my husband and I go to Bennington to visit family and friends. We always stay at one of the cabins at the Harwood Hill Motel. It's very affordable, the views are excellent and it's located in a nice quite area, right across from the Hemmings apple orchard. If your in Bennington during apple season you just have to cross the road to the orchards and pick the most delicious apples around.
The yards at the motel are spacious and have large pic nic tables and a nice gazebo where family and friends can drop by and visit. This is a big plus for us, we don't have to waste any of our time driving all over to see people. They can come and see us at the motel, enjoy the quite, the views and also use the bbq grill for a cook out. The Harwood Hill Motel is very much family friendly.
The cabins have a tv and a small fridge, there is no miro wave or phone but there are other rooms that do have them. Just ask the friendly owners and they will tell you what rooms have what.
The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful it's like they become part of the family. I highly recommend their establishment for one night or for weekly stays.
