We ate here our first night in Bennington on the recommendation of our motel clerk. We expected a "pub" style place. It looks like a pub from the outside (an old barn), but is actually a very nice, and very casual, restaurant. The inside is all new wood, bright and clean, with good views from the window tables. There's a bar area, and a restaurant area, complete with salad bar (quite a good well stocked one in our estimation - no brown edged or wilted lettuce here!)
Wine and beer selections were more than adequate, including several craft beers on tap. Steaks, burgers, seafood, sandwiches, etc. all on the menu. We wanted to eat here all three nights we were in town, but after our walk-in success the first (Monday) night we neglected to make reservations for Tuesday evening. What a mistake! Standing room only, and a 30 minute wait for a table. We were told this was the way it was during foliage season. We made reservations for Wednesday.
Service was great. Highly recommended!
