“ONE OF THE BEST STAYS WE HAD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2010

My sister and I had travelled for a while and we were tired. We were greeted warmly and shown to beautiful rooms. This was a delightful place. We both regretted not having the opportunity to stay longer. Both of us highly recommend this lovely Inn and its hosts. Thanks for having us.

One of my wifes life long dreams has been to stay aat a Bed and Breakfest in Vermont. I had to take a business trip to Canada and With our wedding annaversary and her birth day less than a week away I asked to come with me so that we could make a weekend getaway out of it as well. I let her pick the Bed and Breakfest that she wanted to stay in and she coouldn't have made a better choice. The Mapel Leaf Inn was perfect!!.
Both Mike and Nancy went out of their way to insure that our stay was perfect and that we had everything that we needed. The room was fantastic the the food was even better.

Mike and Nancy have got it just right as we can't think of anything wrong with the way they run Maple Leaf. They are friendly, with a great sense of humour, always seem to be around to help but not intrusive. Maple Leaf has an old style charm and character yet was built as an Inn so it has modern bathrooms and air conditioning, not those noisy window units. Our room was spotless with an extremely comfortable bed with the highest quality bed and bathroom linen so we slept well. Maple Leaf is set in peaceful grounds in a quiet, picture book Vermont village and relaxing with a drink on the wrap-around porch watching Humming Birds was just perfect. We stayed three nights, loved it and want to return one Fall. It was the best stay of our tour of New England. Jan and Geoff Edwards, UK

The Maple Leaf Inn is a modern Victorian home with the feel of a classic. The location is in a lovely part of Vermont, perfect for a fall foliage trip. We spent a long weekend there this October. We particularly appreciated the hospitality, the excellent breakfasts, the cleanliness, the attention to detail, and the other guests from all over (California, Alaska, Illinois, Texas, New Jersey, Massachusetts -- as well as New Zealand and England). We honestly didn't find any shortcomings to report. From help with our luggage, to a perfectly built fire in the fireplace of our room each evening to a relaxed atmosphere, we felt imediately at home and will hope to return.

One of the best B&B's we've ever been to. The inn is fairly new (about 15 years old) but looks even newer. Rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and well-appointed with top quality amenities. Lots of little extras - turn-down service, chocolates at night, snacks and sodas always available.

Mike and Nancy were incredible hosts - friendly, knowledgable and efficient. The food, of course, was excellent - 3-course breakfasts, fresh-baked scones, fresh fruit, etc.

A total pleasure....

This is about as close to B&B perfection as you can get ....... maybe it is! We were here for three nights in mid-September, with an early touch of the fall colors starting to appear. That front porch setting, with the secluded location set back from the highway ...... well, it's the just the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the peace and serenity -- and recharge the batteries.

Yet, it is also an excellent location in mid-Vermont to do nearby sightseeing ..... not far from Waterbury (think Ben & Jerry's), Montpelier, Queeche, and Woodstock ..... with the latter location providing several good restaurants to choose from (although there is one in Barnard as well).

Mike and Nancy are the most gracious hosts -- from the beautiful breakfast they serve in the morning -- to the personal service of libation and cookies they offer you almost every time they see you. We stayed in the Country Garden room on the first floor -- just a wonderful location (only wish it had a desk). But every thing you need can be found in the common areas -- very convenient when you are on the first floor too.

So ...... simply outstanding in every respect. Would love to make this my country getaway retreat every weekend ........ too bad it's so far from St. Louis, MO.

Thanks for a wonderful (but too short) retreat , Mike and Nancy!
