“Loved the hotel but the location is scary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

The hotel was very nice and the breakfast and pool was awesome. My only gripe with the hotel is the pull out bed in the couch was small and uncomfortable for my two kids.

The location of the hotel however is a different. I was frankly nervous about parking my car there overnight. One side of the street is a boarded up building, and the other side has what looked like section eight housing. The area is scary, pawn shops, payday loans and rent to own retailers are down the street. I normally walk at night, but I did not here, it was the pool instead.

We stayed here as a family for a week. The staff are incredibly friendly, the hotel is beautiful, and the all you can eat breakfast along with the managers cocktail hour were just incredible. The room was very clean, but we did have a few small issues with them - the lighting system, while being modern, was simply terrible to figure out. It took me almost a week to figure out how to manage it. The description of the room "two room suite" was misleading as it was really one bedroom and a living room. We got the impression from the hotel website that it actually had two bedrooms...which is not the case. The room worked ok for our situation, but not for my family members who got the same room with the intention of sharing, but not sleeping in the same room. Lastly, the washroom doors, while modern and pretty, we're a bit annoying since there are no locks, and with four people in the room, we had to announce each time we went "potty". Those are minor issues, and since the hotel is rather new, I am sure these things will improve over time. The breakfast array was fantastic - fresh omelettes made to your liking, along with oatmeal, cereal, and the usual meat. Fresh fruit is available everyday. All in all, I would recommend this hotel!

I have stayed at many Embassy Suites, and while they all offer the same services to a large degree, this one felt luxurious. It is new, modern in design, and beautiful. Rooms felt spacious - even for our family of six! Breakfast was incredibly well done.

Location near major shopping mall. Great value for the money. Enjoyed our one night stay. In future would choose this Embassy. Fitness room was one of the better one. Staff was courteous and efficient during our stay.

The new room design is not conducive for a family stay. The sliding bathroom doors do not lock and there is no door between the living area and bedroom. Be aware of the "green" temperature system. Overall, I rank it #13 out of 13 other Embassy Suites I have stayed at. It was just a different experience for my wife and I. We plan to still use other Embassy Suites.

I stayed a week at the Embassy Suites West Valley, and I can honestly say this is the best Embassy Suites hotel I have stayed in. I arrived somewhat early, and the front desk staff (very friendly and professional, all of them) had no problem checking me in. When I got to my room, I was very pleasantly surprised. A traditional suite, the room was divided into a bedroom, small living room, a sitting area (with all sorts of device plug-ins), a kitchenette area, and a huge bathroom. Both the bedroom and the living room had big screen TVs, and the kitchenette include a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a sink.

The coloring scheme in the suites in dark-neutral, yet it still stands out. As I am yet to find a comfortable couch in a hotel room's living area, I won't even mention this one, but the bed was quite comfortable. The doors between suite's rooms were huge, sliding doors, and added to the modern look of the suite. The only drawback I could think of was that there was very little closet space, and what is available is in the living room. The entire place was clean and new. I detest old, slow elevators, and I was quite happy to see new, fast, responsive elevators in this hotel.

The cooked to order breakfast was great. The chef makes omelets, whereas the adjacent area has scrambled eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats and such. A variety of breads, fruits, cereals, is also available. The staff at the restaurant was friendly and welcoming, and the omelets were delicious. The evening manager's reception is held in the same area, and my coworkers and I were happy to take a couple of drinks each off the staff's hands. Along with the free drinks, there was a spread which included bread (or crackers), cheese, fruit, chips, and salsa.

Being close to the airport, the hotel is close to a variety of budget restaurants, such as Olive Garden, TGI Friday's, and a taco place. The hotel itself has an onsite restaurant with excellent salmon, though somewhat confused (but still very polite) service. There is also a pantry next to the front desk, but it has a very limited selection of snacks.

So, if you're in the area and want a reasonably priced, comfortable, modern, new, clean suite, this just may be the place for you! Sweet dreams!
