I just got back from a personal fun trip to Salt Lake City! The Home2 Suites in West Valley City seemed as though it was one of the better hotels to stay at near the USANA Amphitheater and per the other reviews on TripAdvisor so I decided to stay there.
The area the hotel is in is nice, clean and new. I felt extremely safe and comfortable during my stay! It's also super close to the airport - 15 minutes tops (and I stopped to get gas for the rental on my way there).
The front desk was accommodating - I ended up having to change rooms during my stay due to my extremely loud neighbors:) and was put in another room immediately upon my request.
I was in SLC visiting family and seeing the Dave Matthews Band at USANA Amphitheater - so this was a great location to get to the amphitheater quickly and safely. They do have a shuttle that runs until about 8PM - if it's needed.
Also it's about 15 minutes from downtown Salt Lake - it's a good location!
There is a great patio in the front and back of the hotel - with grills and a fire pit of sorts. Nice to just hang out at the end of a long day and drink wine and chat.
Another bonus - a few washing machines and dryers. I didn't even know they would have washing room facilities but it was great as I went home with clean laundry!
Lastly, the breakfast bar was good. They had your typical coffee, bagels, toast, waffles, etc along with the breakfast "pizza" they serve.
All in all, this was a great place to stay. If you can, request a room on the odd numbered side. You'll see a great sunrise if you're up at the crack of dawn like I was (being on East Coast time).
