I chose this hotel from the reviews on TA for a stopover on my move from San Francisco to Denver. I got the hotel, senior discount on the website, for $67.50 (Jan. 2013) + taxes.
We arrived late, but the clerk was able to move us from the upper to lower floor and close to the door since we had a bicycle.
Our room was spotless, and we heard no traffic or other noise. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom had a separate dressing area with closet. We had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The tub was huge! Unfortunately, when we tried to shower the next morning, neither one of us (I was helping my 24 year old daughter move) could budge the hot water knob. We tried both ways, wondering if it worked opposite the cold knob. It was before 7am, so when we called the front desk, maintenance hadn't come in. We asked if another room was available, and she immediately offered us the room across the hall! We were impressed and pleased.
When we went to breakfast, the manager was in, and he immediately came over, asked if we were the ones with the faucet difficulty, and apologized sincerely. He said he was giving me 1,000 extra points on my loyalty card (thank you!!) for our trouble and could he go to the room to check the faucet?
Of course, when he came back, he said he got it to work although he admitted it had been tightened well! It was then my turn to apologize, but he deflected that and said he was just glad it wasn't broken. He said, even though it wasn't broken, he was still giving me the extra points. I told him how nice the night clerk had been to give us another room to shower in, and he was appreciative.
The night clerk also told us about the continental breakfast. They should call it a full, hot breakfast! Eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffle maker, oatmeal packets, dry cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, tiny cinnamon rolls and tiny donuts, and several types of bread. Coffee, juices, and tea bags as well.
I highly recommend this hotel for the staff's efficiency and kindness, the comfort of the rooms, and the price. If you're wanting to gamble, one casino is literally just across the parking lot. You will walk over the state line!
