“Very nice hotel in Vernal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2010

I stay here a couple times a month for business. I used to stay in Roosevelt; because it was closer to the office. However, once this Marriott opened, it is well worth the extra 30 minute drive to and from the office.

The rooms have a modern art deco theme. They all have very comfortable beds with HD flat screen TVs.

This hotel also offers free wifi and hot breakfast

My family and I traveled south from Laramie to Vernal taking the scenic trip through Flaming Gourge. The trip was very scenic with lots of fantastic scenery. While in Vernal we stayed at SpringHill Suites in Vernal. The hotel was new and very nice. Rooms were large with a refrigerator, microwave, and office area with a pull out couch. Shower had multiple flows of water which was great. Went to the Natural History Museum in Vernal to see dinosaur bones- a little pricey but interesting for a couple of hours. Dining was limited in Vernal so we ate at the Little Ceasar's across the parking lot from the hotel.

We stayed two nights in Vernal over the 4th of July on our return trip from Anchorage. We stayed in a variety of hotels on this trip and this one was in the top 5 favorites. The room was very modern (art deco decor).

Wonderful location - (close to retail and restaurants)

We even were able to see the town's 4th of July firework display from the end of the hall. :)

This is the first time we ever stayed in a Springhill Suites. Stellar, wonderful room!!!!! We were on the road 35 days and this was right in there with our 3 favorite places we stayed! Spacious and comfy + great breakfast. Wonderful location and we got to see the city fireworks right out the hotel hallway window! Awesome town and hotel!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2010

We were passing through Vernal, UT on our way to Dinosaur National Monument and did our homework on tripadvisor.com first. Unfortunately, this hotel doesn't come up when searching under "Vernal, UT"; for some reason it is listed under "Sundance, UT" (I have made a request to have this corrected) Luckily for us, we saw a billboard on our way into town for this place, advertising themselves as the "newest hotel in Vernal". After reading the mediocre reviews of all the other hotels in Vernal on tripadvisor.com, we decided to check it out.

Walking into the lobby, I felt as if we had stepped into a chic, modern hotel in New York City or Los Angeles! This place was fantastic! It's only been open since July, 2009 according to the desk attendant, and the feel is very modern and trendy, with the decor done in white, oranges, blues and metallics.

The room was full of extras, including LCD-TV, separate office/living area, separate toilet and showers each with their own lavatories and refrigerator/microwave. We were somewhat disappointed we were only staying for the one night, everything was so nice!

There aren't alot of dining options in Vernal we discovered (the Curry Manor which got top ratings on here is closed now) so we opted for the Cafe Rio (casual fast Mexican) just outside the hotel front entrance. Breakfast was included and served in the chic lobby area. It was plentiful, including eggs, turkey sausage, assorted breads/pastries, hot/cold cereal, fruit, and coffee/juices.

Overall, we were thrilled with this find. Hopefully tripadvisor.com will correct their listing to include the right location so other weary travelers passing through Vernal will experience the same surprise we did.

Grandma, myself, and 4 kids (ages 11, 8, 4, and 7 months) stayed here while visiting the Dinosaur National Monument. If you are in the area for dinosaurs, don't miss the Utah Field House Museum right there in Vernal - my 11 year old thought it was better than the park! The hotel itself is quite new and modern in style with a full breakfast - waffle maker, eggs, turkey sausage, yogurt, cold cereals, juice - a nice selection. We stayed in adjoining rooms, one had 2 queens with pullout couch, other had king bed with pull out couch. Rooms have just a quarter-partition between living and sleeping areas, so it was difficult to get the kiddos to bed with the light and noise in the room (but we knew about this having seen the hotel pics). Room had microwave and small refrigerator which came in handy. The indoor pool & hot tub were both in good condition with plentiful towels but boy the chlorine is STRONG! By the 2nd day my boys had rashes from it so we did not use it for the 3rd day. The staff were all very nice and we'd definitely stay here again. Separate toilet and shower rooms actually came in handy with all the kids, and we got a kick out of the secondary water heads in the shower. We had no trouble with noise at the hotel. Also, coin-operated laundry is available on ground floor (with 4 kids I used it several times!) so bring your quarters.
