This is the place to see Dinosaur fossils in place. There is a recently stabilized exhibit hall built right against a huge wall of exposed fossils where they were uncovered. Park staff are willing to explain however much you would like to hear on the subject. There is also a brand new visitors center. But remember, this place is definitely out of the way. If you stay and eat in Vernal, you will be sharing it with many oil and gas field workers who populate the town. After you see the fossil wall, take the drive into the park and enjoy the scenery and the petroglyph sites along the way. Don't miss the Lizard petroglyphs at the end of Cub Creek. Well worth the time and effort!
