“Great location and lovely hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

We stayed at the Bulberry Inn as we couldn't get 2 nights at Ruby's Inn. The B&B has a great location, very close to Bryce Canyon. If we had realised how close the Bulberry Inn was to Bryce Canyon we would have stayed here for the whole stay.

Wally and Nettie were great hosts and really helpful.

We would recommend staying at the Bulberry Inn rather than Ruby's Inn, as Tropic has a lot more to offer. There are many more restaurants available in the evening to get a meal etc. It is very busy at Ruby's and you have to wait quite a long time to get a table if you forget to book like we did.

The restaurant's etc in Tropic are much better value and quality than at Ruby's.

The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was great.

Tropic is a lovely wee place and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would definitely stay at the Bulberry Inn again, if we are ever in Utah.

We truly enjoyed staying at the Bullberry Inn. Netttie and Wally were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was great. The home made Bullberry jam is amazing. We had two rooms. Both were very nice and very clean. Nettie and Wally had some great tips on where to go at the Canyon (like where to watch the sunset). Their Inn is nicely close to the park. We'll stay there again when back in the area.

We have stayed with Nettie & Wally 3 times now. The first time was 5 years ago, when we drove by and decided it was time to find a place to stay. Wally is a wonderful story-teller, and can give you lots of hints and info of the area. Nettie fixes the wonderful breakfasts, and has lots of "secret" telephone numbers if the official ones are busy, etc. We almost feel like family now, and love staying there. The last time, in June 2012, we stayed 2 nights and brought our son & his family. Our son said he could hardly wait for breakfast, because it was so good. It is so quiet and peaceful, a welcome change from all the people in the National Parks.

We stayed here a few weeks back for 2 nights. Really loved the place, and the hosts, Nettie and Wallie were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely surrounding countryside too.

Rates are very reasonable, much cheaper than the more expensive hotels closer to Bryce, and you get a more personal experience here.

The room was basic but very clean and comfortable, and we were able to park our car just outside the room. Free WiFi as well which was a bonus.

The freshly cooked country breakfast was lovely, and we were allowed to specify a time each day which was handy.

My girlfriend had almost got us stuck in a very muddy puddle nearby, and as a result got our hire car really dirty, and Wallie even helped me to clean it!

Bryce Canyon is only a 10/15 minute drive away and Tropic has a couple of restaurants and a shop. We ate at Clarke's one night but that was nothing special and a little overpriced. Bryce Canyon is spectacular though and we did a 2 hour walk down into the Canyon, and also waited at Bryce Point for the sunset which was lovely.

On our day of departure Nettie offered to make us some sandwiches which was nice (even though we didn't take her up on her offer!), and also sent us on our way with some homemade Bulberry jam (jelly) which you must try!

Would definately return, and hopefully will one day! Thank you Nettie and Wallie for making our stay so enjoyable!

This was a lovely relaxing oasis of a place to stay with friendly hosts. We had a downstairs bedroom, could sit on the verandah and listen to the peace. Breakfast was great, at the time we wanted, and we got the story of the bulberry jam. Little things like that make a place.

Room Tip: Didn't see the upstairs rooms, but the downstairs one was great.

We stayed here for one night, october 2011 when we visited Bryce Canyon (15min drive). We had a good night sleep over here. It is nice and quiet and we had a good bed. The room was big and the shower was good.
The women who received us was really nice and friendly. Breakfast is really good, try the homemade jelly!!

Stay here if you visit Bryce canyon!

Stayed here for a night on our trip to Bryce Canyon. My wife wished we could have stayed longer just because she loved this bed and breakfast so much. It's a cozy place. It's a good location away from the main traffic of the park area. There are a couple of restaurants down the road.

The breakfast in the morning is great and they will make you pretty much whatever you want. Try their Bullberry jelly.

The couple that own the Inn are very friendly and they keep the place clean.

The internet was wireless and was good enough for what I needed.

We would definitely stay here again.
