“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

Great location close to Bryce Canyon. Very nice, clean room with a great vista. Spotless bathroom. very good breakfast served by 2 great hosts, Alice and David. They made us feel like we were at home. Price was reasonable as well. We'd go back there in a heartbeat! Roger & Elaine from Arizona.

Just like visiting friends--nice rooms, wonderful breakfast at a shared table in the morning, and the dog at your feet! Isolated but convenient to Bryce Canyon. Only drawback was the lack of restaurants in Tropic...

Room Tip: can't go wrong here--all rooms would have a great view

You couldn't ask for a better location for your visit to Bryce National Park. This homey B & B is located about 7 miles from the park and is convenient to good restaurants. We arrived about one hour early and were able to check-in for our three night stay. Our room size was adquate and the bedding was comfortable. We were traveling with another couple and chose rooms off the patio. The view was magnificent! The breakfast was good, I don't eat eggs, but there was always plenty to eat, even sharing the eggs with my husband.

If you are the type of person, that likes a place for everything, and everything in it's place, this may not be the place for you. The common area doubles as there living room and is full of stacks of books. We like animals and told Alice not to pen the dog or cats during our visit. However, if you don't care for pets, you won't see them during your visit. There was some dust on the rungs of the rocking chair and stand that holds a saddle in our room. However, there are some extraordinary circumstances with the host that may have contributed to this, and it may not be the norm. Our towels were not changed after the first night, but were after the second night.

We enjoyed our visit and didn't let things like a little dust get is our way of having a great time. The price is very reasonable, especially if you pay in cash.

Buffalo Sage is without doubt the best b &b near Bryce Canyon and in Tropic, Utah! The rooms are beautiful, relaxing, and private with spectacular views! Breakfast is the best! And the proprietors are just wonderful, delightful people. The price is also the most reasonable, and yet you get the absolute best accomodations and food. Go and enjoy the trip of a lifetime.

The proprietors, David and Alice, are a charming, intelligent couple who really take pleasure in facilitating a positive visiting experience. The bedroom facilities are quite adequate, with our room having two king size beds, each of which was quite comfortable. Bedding is also adequate, with extra blankets should the night turn cold. The room was decorated with a Western theme, with a saddle horse and a saddle in one corner, with a branding iron behind it. Prints on the wall were consistent with the theme.

On each of our three mornings, we were treated to a delicious and nutritious, carefully prepared breakfast. For our evening meals, they suggested several local restaurants where the fare was good. They also made suggestions of additional sights that we might like to see, some of which were off the more traditional beaten paths.

We could not have asked for better hosts or accomodations!

This was my experience with a B&B and am I hooked. Alice and David are great hosts and extremely helpful. Our 1st nights arrival was extremely late we were exhausted from traveling; Alice was so gracious she guided us by to their location and stayed up to make sure we got settled comfortably. The views are magnifcent from the patio and the location is close enough to really enjoy Bryce and Zions Nat'l Park without dealing with all the crowds. All rooms have outside entrances, each room is decorated with charm and warmth. The breakfast is great. If you leave breakfast hungry it's your fault. This area of the country is beautiful so much to see and do. Without question I will be back to enjoy.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great and have great views. I recommend the downstairs roomsaccess a great stone...

This was our first B&B experience & very nice. We stayed 2 nights & had one of the rooms downstairs, the bed was comfortable & the room was clean. The breakfast both days were different & very tasty, plenty of food & could have more if wanted. The owners, Alice & David, accommodated each couple to serve breakfast when they requested, but the days we were there everybody wanted to eat at 7:45 & be on they way to Bryce Canyon. The company of the other guests made this a very pleasant experience. Alice & David were very friendly & knowledgable about the area, especially when we came in late & needed someplace to eat dinner. They directed us to the local restaurant about a mile from there & the food was very good. Alice even told us about a wonderful restaurant in Cameron, AZ to be sure to stop & have lunch at on our way to the Grand Canyon. It was a GREAT lunch on an Indian Reservation.
We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything Alice & David.
