“Real nice cabins, poor on service.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

My family & I stayed in cabins 11 & 12 in the beginning of July. The cabins are nice & clean with a woodsy theme. The location is great for going to Bryce Canyon & the other local attractions. The cabins we stayed in each had 2 double beds, a kitchen table, small refrigerator, microwave & TV. The 2 places this accommodation falls short is the size or set up of the rooms (the beds are to close to the wall) & service. I understand that this is a mom & pop place to stay but all hotels, motels & even country cabins should have someone posted incase there is an issue & this place didn't. Example we needed fresh towels at 8:15AM but there was no one around to ask. All in all I'm not sure I'd ever stay at this place again.

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. It was very clean and comfortable. The very edge of town, on the highway 12, beautiful view of the red cliffs across open pastures. Nice grassy yard, porches (shared) front and back (so not bothered by highway traffic). Evening breeze could blow through windows and cooled room immediately. Service was very good. Owner responsive to concerns and needs.
Very convenient to the park. Tropic is tiny town but has basics - laundromat, groceries, restaurants. Bryce city 10 minutes away- lovely drive.

Room Tip: Be aware that there are different kinds of cabins. Some premier cabins not as well located as the re...

Stayed at the cabins for a recent trip to Utah. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Great value and great location make this the perfect spot to stay while exploring Bryce Canyon and the surrounding areas. I will definitely be back.

My wife and I have stayed in Bryce on three separate trips, all in the last few years. One was camping---which was awesome..another was full of rain and we stayed at the cabins in Kotachrome (AWESOME!) and this was our last to so we could explore to the fullest. While the cabins are nice, we found the help to be rude-actually degrading. I believe they are one of the owners. They will nickel and dime you for everything...from tissues you use to the air you breathe. The cancellation policy is appalling. We had to change plans 8 days out and they still charged us $50 to cancel a night; which is ample time in advance!!
I strongly recommend NOT staying at this place unless you want to waste your hard earn dollars and be treated horrible. We both rather sleep in the car or enjoy our vacation time with establishments who actually respects that you are spending time and your money with them.
My suggestion...keep searching. Background: We travel for work for a living and spent many, many nights domestic/oversee's and this is the only place I would rather spend a night in a honeymoon suite with my ex-wife than stay here again.

Very clean, very comfortable, management friendly and helpful. Everything in room worked well. Country rustic but all looked brand new! Would easily stay there again and would recommend highly. Short drive to Bryce and away from the crowds of closer accommodations. Owner recommended new restaurant called Stone Hearth Grille up on hill above town. Food was excellent here, a little pricier than restaurants along the main street of Tropic.

I felt we got what we paid for. Management was friendly and resolved a financial issue that was my mistake not theirs. Lodge in park was full. This location was convenient and easy drive. Desk management was accommodating although we asked for little (extra postcards.) I got the impressions they'd do what they could if we had other requests. Only complaint, insufficient surface space (one bedside table and one kitchen table) and no real good space for suitcases. In other words, tight quarters.

I was in Tropic for a three day visit and stayed at Bryce Canyon Country cabins. These appear fairly new and my cabin was in perfect condition, with two large beds, nice shower and a very rustic and "cabiny" feel. I was very pleased with accomodations and would definitely stay there again.
