“Clean and Comfy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

After reading some of the past reviews I am wondering if we stayed at the same place. We didn't find the woman who checked us in to be rude at all. After checking us in she gave us instructions on where to get ice and about the available restaurants in Tropic. We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins which was clean and comfy. We sat on the back and front porch so we were watched the sunset over the mountains. While it is true the cabins are located close to the road the traffic died down in the evening so noise wasn't an issue. The rule about cleaning your cabin before you check out is a little weird as that service should be included in the room charge as it is in all other hotels around the world. The location to Bryce Canyon Park is fine. It's only a few minutes away.

Room Tip: Reserve the deluxe cabins.

Cabins are very clean, plenty of room for two people. Easy to find and close to local restaurants for dinner. Must book well in advance. Super location to enjoy the sunsets!! The park entrance is about 8 miles away.

The Bryce Country Cabins were a pleasant choice for our overnight while visiting Bryce National Park. There are not many choices around the park. The short drive to Tropic east of the park gave us another perspective of the area. Other than checking in we had no contact with staff and there are no other services provided. We understood this at the time of booking, but you should be aware that the office is not continually staffed.
The only cabin left when we reserved about two months in advance was a duplex cabin so we shared the building with guests in a connected room with a shared wall. Our night's sleep ended when the other guests awoke in the morning about 5:30 a.m. and began talking. I am sure the individual cabins would have been a better fit and the duplex cabin would be excellent for families requiring two rooms. The room was very clean and delightfully decorated. The bathroom didn't have much counter space, but that wasn't a problem for our overnight stay. I enjoyed the rocking chair on the front porch and the horse in the corral next door. Refrigerator and microwave in the room and a grill outside would make it very pleasant to prepare your own meal or snack. We patronized the pizza place for dinner and another restaurant for breakfast just down the road in Tropic.
Be aware that the cabins are close to the highway, but this did not present a noise problem.

Room Tip: Book early and get an individual cabin if you want to be free from the noise of the conversations of...

This is a lovely choice if you are in the Bryce Canyon area. We had half of the dual cabin and were barely aware of our neighbors. The cabin was very clean, comfortably furnished and had a lovely porch. The evening was cool and we really appreciated the opening windows. We could hear the peaceful sounds of the horses right next to our cabin. The location was convenient, too.

We stayed for one night in the 'motel room' not one of the cabins. It was by itself on the side of the main building. The room was beautifully decorated. It had 'log cabin type' furniture with a birch? 4 poster bed, and the same type table and chairs. The decor was very nice with bear and moose, etc. The only problem was the shower head is very low but if you angle it higher up, the water sprays against the wall and out of the shower. The water pressure is very strong. There was a nice porch with apple trees in the yard. The owner was very pleasant It's close to the park and has a convenience store and a couple of restaurants right down the road. I wish we could have stayed at Bryce Country Cabins longer but we were there only 1 night.

We stayed here 2 days in a 1bed room + bath cabin. It was actually part of a 3 cabin house, so we had direct wall neighbors with kitchen, that we could hear well, so either you come with larger company and book directl the whole cabin, or bring ear plugs. We had room 15, which seemed to be new or renovated. Microwave, tv, fridge, AC, everything new. Very comfortable bath and shower. Very clean. There was an BBQ grill outside. Definitely s recommendation for this cabin motel.

I stayed here with a friend during a trip to Bryce. It was a better value than the rooms in Bryce Canyon City, but still only 7 miles away from the park so we could still go back and forth as needed. Our cabin was adorable, and included woodsy furniture, a fridge and microwave, flat screen TV, WiFi that actually worked, a little porch with 4 chairs. The beds were okay, but the pillows and linens could definitely stand to be replaced. The shower was a very small stall, but had good temperature.

The front of the cabins is right on the main road, but it's not too busy. Around the grounds were several wooden bench swings and picnic tables, farm animals, and a playground area. The cabins are within easy walking distance to a gas station, small grocery store, and restaurant.

Because this is a small, independently-owned property, be aware that the rules are stricter than at larger hotel/motel chains. Things like check-in/out times, paying upfront, cancellations, etc. We barely had any contact with staff during our stay, which was fine with us since we didn't need anything, but might bother other people.

All in all a good value near enough to the park where you can have quiet, unique lodging.
