Food options in Tropic are very certainly limited. Pizza is one of those 'quick' options and we ate at the Pizza Place a couple of times, most definitely b/c time was limited. Otherwise, we likely would only have eaten there once. The pizza was actually quite good. However, the ambiance left much to be desired. Mostly, the staff issues were difficult to ignore...lack of organization is perhaps what came across as a patron; what was really happening, I have no idea. We tried to get over there earlier to sit outside; unfortunately, because there is no lighting on the deck, we were not allowed to be seated outside as it would soon be dark and the server(s) could not serve us, obviously, in the dark. So we sat inside, and had our pizza indoors. The food was good...and we just ignored the stuff going on inside the restaurant. If we could've taken our pizza outside to eat, I would have been much happier...but I understand that might equate to more staff, etc. and during the high season of summer, the days are longer and lights are probably not really needed outside. Good food, for pizza. Didn't try the pasta, but I suspect it wouldn't be all that bad as the pizza sauce was pretty good. Building, as most buildings in Tropic, is old...and tired...some upgrades could be done.
