After 30 years and countless memorable and lovely times at this once world recognized restaurant, I will never return.
The new owners have staffed the front desk with twitty young girls with a surly attitude, replacing the older hostesses who knew everyone's name.
The young little girls running arond the dinning room looking lost are ill trained and not seasoned servers which once were the hallmarks of the fabulous restaurant.
Out of town guests who once loved this restaurant will not go back. It has lost the ambiance and warmth. The tacky decor (blinking peacock in front window, etc.,) awful Christmas music (instead of classical music that once played) are bad reminders that the Johnson family that once ran this place with love has been taken over by another "chain" experience.
Too heavy on management with an overbearing hand are seen running around intimidating servers who have worked there since they were 16. Signature dishes (duck and rack of lamb) have been ruined by soupy sauces and belly fill.. I took many family and friends to dine there at least a dozen times a year but will not ever return.
