“Well maintained older hotel... one of the best options in St George”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

Stayed for one night, and was pleased with our experience. Staff was friendly, room was decent sized, and included a mini-refrigerator and microwave. Pool area looked nice, though we didn't have the chance to use it. With some updating (things like getting rid of popcorn ceiling) I would give it the full 5 out of 5 rating... as-is, it's still worth your business.

This hotel is located right next to the 15 Freeway in St. George but you don't hear the freeway from the rooms. My family and I stayed two nights this past week, on two different days of the week, on our way to Bryce and Zion national parks. Both stays were welcomed by a superbly courteous staff and we were given rooms that were clean and spacious, with a fantastic shower. We had two double beds for a family of four and on each stay the staff rushed with extra towels when we were short on one towel. It seems the two double rooms come with a standard three-person amenities. The pool is spacious and very nice -- open until 10pm. The breakfast is self-served but not the cheap and unhealthy continental breakfast you get at big chain hotels. There is a Belgian waffle maker that makes excellent waffles and hot food is served -- eggs, hash browns, potatoes -- as well as lots of fruits, cereal, bagels, etc. This breakfast was something to look forward to after not having any breakfast included in the cost of staying in a terrible Best Western at the entrance to Bryce National Park and a nicer hotel at the entrance to Zion National Park (Bumbleberry Inn/Motel). All in all, this hotel was the cheapest we stayed at on our one week trip to the national parks of Bryce and Zion but the nicest.

Room Tip: We stayed in rooms facing the pool and these were quiet in spite of the high use it had during our s...

We stayed one night 7-3-14. We usually use the Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn, but decided to give the Crystal Inn a try as it was on the south end of St. George and right off the highway. This hotel is super clean, the bed and pillows were excellent, strong shower and an excellent breakfast - real sausage all at a very reasonable rate. We didn't get to use the pool, but it looked clean and had some palm trees. We would stay again.

Very friendly staff! the room was clean and also had dvd and vhs player in the room. Complementary breakfast had plenty of tasty options. Only 2 small complaints are that wifi was little slow and bathroom door was very closet to toliet area.Worth the money and not too far to get to Zion.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms on bottom floor had quick sliding doors so packing up car or motorcycle was easy a...

Having stayed in the Crystal Inn in Brigham City, we were really looking forward to our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately it was not in the same class at all. The car park was in need of repair, the internal corridors were badly lit and were dark and dingy and the carpets were in desperate need of cleaning. The room itself was clean and comfortable but it was pretty dated and the bathroom was extremely tight. The breakfast was excellent but again the area it was served in was dull and uninviting. The pool area was really good with a spa, gym and sauna and the guest laundry was also good. The staff without exception were really hardworking and very pleasant and polite.
This hotel has huge potential but a great deal of work needs to be done to bring it up to standard and provide a much more welcoming stay.

We stay in St. George often, and this is the first time we stayed at the Crystal Inn. The front desk clerk was very friendly. The rooms, though outdated, were very comfortable and very clean. We had a standard king room, bottom floor, with access directly to the pool area through a sliding glass door. We did not take advantage of the pool, but it was the nicest pool area I have seen at a hotel in a while. Many families were enjoying it and couples lounging in the chairs. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was a treat. It almost looked as if the breakfast area was an onsite restaurant at one time. There was a "buffet" area with all the food, then there were booths or tables to sit at and eat. It was much "calmer" than most hotel breakfast rooms. Price was very good, people friendly, rooms clean, and great breakfast; we would definitely stay here again.

This is more than just a typical hotel off the highway. Yes, the bathroom is small and the furniture is a bit dated, but who cares? The rooms are spotless; there’s a fridge, microwave, and flat screen TV with extensive cable and HBO; the location couldn’t be better (very quiet); and breakfast is included. And don’t think it’s a continental breakfast of packaged muffins or a layout of cold, rubbery eggs that have been sitting there for who knows how long—no, this is a hotel breakfast you can actually eat!

Oh, and the pool area is lovely! The water was sparkling and at a perfect temperature, and we could walk right out from our room to the deep end of the pool in only about 12 steps. It’s a good sized pool, and by hanging out near the deep end (over 8 feet), you’re somewhat removed from the kids in the shallow end (and therefore less likely to drown the one who decides to start up a game of Marco Polo).

This is by no means a fancy place, but it certainly met all our needs. And believe me, I’m a germ freak who is hard to please. Consider this my stamp of approval!

Room Tip: If you're looking forward to relaxing by the pool, ask for a room on the first opening to the po...
