“Very comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2009

The Ambassador in was a GREAT value. The room was very comfortable and included what seemed to be a new mattress. Everything was in good working order. The location is terrific--just close enough to the interstate to be convenient but far enough away to be quiet. Wi-fi worked well and was free. It looks like it was a late 90s-era Sleep Inn in a previous life, but it's better and more reasonably priced than most of that chain's current properties. Overall I had a great stay and highly recommend the Ambassador Inn.

We stayed here on the Saturday night of Labor Day, just for 1 night. It was a very pleasant experience, from check-in to check-out. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and amazingly sound-proof (our room was close to the lobby and breakfast room, but we didn’t hear a thing). The continental breakfast was much more than “continental”. It included scrambled eggs, French toast, biscuits and gravy, besides everything else. The breakfast room was charming, quiet, and relaxing – a great way to start our day.
We highly recommend this hotel when staying in St. George!

This place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. We had plenty of room to spread out. Our bathroom had a jetted tub and there was a pool and hot tub outside (although the hot tub was not working properly). The staff was friendly and helpful and allowed us to print out our boarding passes at the front desk. We felt as though we were staying in a luxury hotel.

I stayed at the Ambassador Inn for three nights. The service was great. The breakfast was wonderful. The food was fresh and the eggs were my favorite. The Inn is clean and has spent a lot of money to be updated. Most hotels don't spend money to get updated, but the outside and inside looks great. The pool is clean and better than my experience in Vegas. If you think the Inn is too cheap to believe or not a chain, than you are completely wrong. This place is a great find. I've traveled around the world and these people are some of the nicest I have ever met! I will stay here again if I get a chance.

We were travelling from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City and needed just a basic place to stay for one night and found the Ambassador through TripAdvisor..natch! We are familiar with St George and had stayed at another comparable place last year, but the Ambassador really raises the bar for a mid-range motel. It is located right next to the freeway and there is nothing within walking distance really, but that is about the only quibble I have with this motel. The room was spotless , nothing fancy but very comfortable and safe, we were on the side away from the freeway so had no problem with noise at all. The breakfast is very good for a free continental style and has scrambled eggs and lattes aside form the usual fare of cereals and muffins. The bed was very comfortable and the pool was lovely, so if all you want is a pleasant place to stay and don't want to pay a couple of hundred dollars, then stay here for only $54...why on earth wouldn't you?

I stayed here on the recommendation of fellow TripAdvisorites and I wish I could thank each one of them personally for putting me on to this place. The rooms was clean, quiet, and, for the price of the room, well appointed. A more than sufficient breakfast is included in the room rate. Two great restaurants (Players and Cracker Barrel) are within walking distance. And so is the St George conference center.

I found out that most rooms only come with a shower, a few rooms come with a bathtub - so be sure to make that special request.

Real easy on and off I-15 at exit 6, but you don't hear the traffic.

A great place with real value

Very clean, great, large shower, nice shampoo and soap. Very helpful staff and the breakfast was decent--french toast, bagels, yogurt, eggs, biscuits and gravy. Enough for anyone. And a great price--$58 for 2.
