“A great stay in St. George”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2009

Best Westerns are pretty consistent across the states. They're not high end properties, but tend toward the middle range with clean rooms and fair prices. The Coral Hills is probably one of the nicest BW's we've stayed at and represents a super value.

The room was large and perfectly clean. The hotel has two separate pools, an exercise room, fast wifi, and a well-stocked free breakfast offering the usual waffles, cereals, pastries, fruit, juices, etc. Service is friendly and fast. If there is any downside to this hotel it would be that some of the rooms may have a bit of traffic noise due to the location on one of the busier streets in town. But after having stayed at a numbe of places, this is now our standard.

A friend recommended the renovated rooms and we were really surprised. From the outside, it just looks like a normal nice motel. But when you get into the room, the WOW factor starts. A king-sized bed , flat screen tv and Bath and Bodyworks toiletries, nice bathroom with a huge tub and with a great shower head. The bedding looked upscale like the whole room, everything looked very expensive. We paied the normal room rate and got that awesome room. (thanks to the nice young man at the reception)

We also used the pool and the spa outside, after a long day on the road, this was really nice. (Pool towels were free but a bit on the small side).

Complimentary breakfast the next morning was more than coffee and donuts. It included fresh fruit, assorted cereals, eggs, bagels/muffins, juice, coffee, tea#, cocoa and a fresh waffle station. The room was a bit small, but at least, we could sit and eat. The nice lady supervising the breakfast room was another staff member doing a great job at this wonderful hotel.

We will definitely stay here again. Make sure you request one of their remodeled rooms!

Jesena, Our rooms are still as nice as ever as well as the pools. The downtown historic district continues to improve and become increasingly a focal point to visit when in town. The breakfast we offer is now a free full/hot breakfast which includes scrambled eggs and sausage. Thank you for staying with us and for your comments, they are truly appreciated.

We had family business in St George and needed somewhere pleasant for 2 nights, as per the reviews we asked for a renovated room and it was very pleasant. A king-sized bed , flat screen tv and Bath and Bodyworks toiletries-the same kind as at the South Point in Las Vegas where we stayed the previous evening. Very nice bathroom with a huge tub, sunken and with a great shower head and curved rod so you don't feel as claustrophobic! The room is not big but certainly large enough for 2 people, it has a basic motel feel from the outside, it was an outside entry with no corridor where we stayed, although there are some rooms with an interior door. However they have done a nice job with the renovation and it looks more upscale once you get in the room. The bed was fine, not fantastic would have liked a down comforter rather than the single thin bedspread and the heater was very loud. The best part of the stay was the great work out room and pool, small ...an elliptical machine, treadmill and bike and not much else but very clean and easy to get to and free, the pool looked lovely although I didn't use that. It was right across from our room, so I used the gym both days and only on one visit was there anyone else using it, I felt as if I had my own personal gym.It is easy walking distance to many restaurants, although they are all rather fast-foody and the blandest food I have ever eaten and I am from England so I know bland food!

  • Liked — The Exercise room and free Wi Fi.
  • Disliked — Noisy Heater and Lame Comforter

EMAWEST, I love your review! Thank you for your comments and compliments. We are striving to be the best value in St. George and feel we are making great strides. Sorry about the bland food at some of the local restaurants but keep in mind you do site New York and Los Angeles as your cities of origin. You have some great places at your whim. That said I highly recommend you try the Painted Pony only 1 block away. They are truly an experience!

Located close to downtown St. George, this hotel had newly renovated rooms with large flat screen TV. There is also a nice fitness area plus breakfast was included in the room rate. Downtown St. George is within easy walking distance as are historic sites plus lots of restaurants ranging from upscale expensive to moderate.
The room we had was clean, comfortable and quiet despite the hotel being on the busy main street. The only irritant was the breakfast area which is located in a former conference room. The tables were slightly rickety and the TV was blaring away to an impervious audience.
The staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in what we thought of their property.

  • Liked — Newly renovated rooms plus large flat screen TV
  • Disliked — Breakfast room could use a bit more work but not bad

2eratics, Awesome review, thank you! We have since put in flat screen TV in the breakfast room, and we keep the volume at a lower level, and we have also replaced the breakfast furniture. Thank you for all the great contributions to the TripAdvisor site.

We arrived close to 1 AM after driving from Las Vegas. We called ahead to let the night manager know that we would be arriving late and he was waiting. Check in was swift and he arranged for a handicapped accessible room for my wife as she had injured her leg the week before traveling. The room was spacious, newly renovated and comfortable with microwave and refrigerator in the room. Beds were comfortable and bath appeared to have been renovated as well. Great new shower. Complimentary breakfast the next morning was more than coffee and danish and included fresh fruit, assorted cereals, eggs, bagels/muffins,
juice/coffee/tea/cocoa and a fresh waffle station. The staff was helpful with directions, sights to visit and answered other questions. We did not use pool / gym facilities, but they looked nice. This was a BW Gold Crown point stay but even if we had paid for the room it would have been a good value. A nice property and a comfortable stay. We would return again in the future.

Very welcoming front desk service and very nice rate made the hotel looking to be an ideal deal. Unfortunately, we arrived late and internet in room connection failed to work. We were not allowed to sit in reception room for a while due the late hour and because of we chose this hote because of the internet availability, we were not that satisfied. Also breakfast room was extremely full for half an hour and we were not able to sit anywhere. Apart from that, this motel is a perfect deal

ManaPet, Thank you for your stay with us and your review! A review coming from such a Senior Contributor to the Trip Advisor site is a compliment indeed. We do have a wonderful staff and try our best to make it a great place for them to work and for our guests to stay. We do have discounts available for guests to eat at local restaurants if they miss breakfast or forego eating with us. I we have worked with the front desk staff to bring this option to a greater awareness to our future guests.

For those reading this review permit me to explain a little how our breakfast room has evolved: Once the largest conference space in St. George; it then became a game room, and is now used as our breakfast room. Since the beginning it has been a challenge to have ample room for guest and food service. It is our hope to sometime in the future be able to replace our office and breakfast area completely with a new building. This would allow us to eliminate stairs, expand our lobby and breakfast area as well as our breakfast offerings.

The internet issue has long since been resolved and has been working perfectly for a long time.

Whenever I'm in St. George I stay at Coral Hills. I've tried some that are more expensive and others that are cheaper. But I feel more at home at Coral Hills. The price is reasonable, the variety of pools are nice. The breakfast is pretty good and the location is central to my activities and meetings without being right next door to a conference center. With St. George's climate I enjoy having my door on the outside, whereas my wife prefers the section of the hotel with the indoor halls and entry doors. I recommend Coral Hills.

Fee2b, Thank you for your endorsement! We do strive to be the best overall value in town. As you may be aware, there have been a lot of renovations in the downtown St. George Historic District. The most recent is the Pioneer museum located two doors away. And as always we have the FREE Historic District Walking Tour maps available at the front desk
