“Couldn't find anything wrong with the room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

We recently stayed in St. George as the halfway point between Bryce Canyon and Las Vegas. I couldn't find any fault with the room at the BW Coral Hills. The property was extremely clean, rooms were well appointed with nice decor, lots of towels, nice bedding, and coffee pot. Rates were reasonable and it was a good value. Check in was flawless and the front desk staff directed us to several good restaurants just down the street. Room rates come with complimentary breakfast. Although the breakfast looked very inviting, it was so crowded in the small room that there was no place to sit and, as a result, we had to forego the free breakfast. After we returned from our trip, BW sent me a survey, I answered, and they responded immediately to my disgruntlement about the breakfast room. That let me know that management was very hands-on and valued customer feedback. Had it not been for that one issue, it would have been a flawless stay.

kpickerell, Thank you for your stay with us and your review! A review coming from such a Top Contributor to the Trip Advisor site is a compliment indeed. We do have a wonderful staff and try our best to make it a great place for them to work and for our guests to stay. We do have discounts available for guests to eat at local restaurants if they miss breakfast or forego eating with us. I will work with the front desk staff to bring this option to a greater awareness to our future guests.

For those reading this review permit me to explain a little how our breakfast room has evolved: Once the largest conference space in St. George; it then became a game room, and is now used as our breakfast room. Since the beginning it has been a challenge to have ample room for guest and food service. It is our hope to sometime in the future be able to replace our office and breakfast area completely with a new building. This would allow us to eliminate stairs, expand our lobby and breakfast area as well as our breakfast offerings.

We arrived here around 4pm. Our room that we requested wasn't quite ready yet. the personel was friendly and accommodating. We were escorted to the breakfast room, where we gladly stayed for 20 minutes to cool off, since it was 103 degrees outside. Our room was clean and well appointed with fridge, microwave and flatscreen TV. The beds were excellent, we slept very well. The bathroom was a bit tiny. The coffeeshop style breakfast area and ample food made for a pleasant start in the morning. The two swimming pools were the highlight of our stay. For the price we paid this place is a bargain. We frequented this facility twice and will do so again.

Klausmac, Thank you for staying with us at the Best Western Coral Hills. We know there are many choices in the St. George area and many of them are worthy competitors. In the coming winter months we will be adding window valances and upgrading our bathroom/vanity counter tops. When you stay with us again and notice the changes please let me know what you think. Thank you also for contributing so much to the TripAdvisor site it has added value for those who use it.

The hotel is very clean. Nice comfortable room and good bed. Enjoy the balcony in the evening and early morning. Since I was in St. George to visit my father, the room was for resting in the evening only and of course breakfast, which was quite good. Staff very nice and friendly. Saw people washing all of the glass doors - keeping a very clean facility.

Sandra F, I am glad we gave you such a good impression. If we ever seem to falter in our service please let us know. I have updated your guest history so the staff will be aware of your appreciation of a balcony room and offer one if it is available. Our number one compliment for the past two years has been our staff. They ARE terrific! While you visit if you need any recommendations for a great restaurant just let the front desk staff know what you are in the mood for and they will have a ready answer for you. Thank you for your review and staying with us again.

This hotel looks unexciting on the outside but turned out to be a sweet surprise inside. The rooms have been completely updated inside in tans and deep purple.Nice flat screen, all new rvs, furnishings, fridge, microwave etc.My favorite was swimming in the indoor pool. The outdoor pool was full of joyous children, but I had the indoor pool to myself along with hot tub.So very nice!

Room Tip: Room 142 is near pool but away from the road.

Beverlydbichons, I am glad you found out one of our “secrets”. Often during the summer while everyone is flocking to the outdoor pool the indoor pool is left quiet and serene. One of the great advantages we have at this property is that we have multiple room types. They each face different directions giving different views. Some rooms are exterior entrance so putting luggage in to the room can be a little easier. We also have the interior building where you stayed which has the hallway adjoining to the indoor pool, spa and exercise room. Thank you for your review and contributing so much to the success of Trip Advisor!

Comfortable, clean, spacious room. Nice room decorations, big refrigerator & microwave. Friendly staffs; nice pool. I would definitely recommend family & friends to stay here. Great price too! Keep up the good work. I love Best Western. Good breakfast, one less thing for us to take care during our vacation planning.

David T, it is so much more convenient having a breakfast included with the room isn’t it? One of the greatest compliments we can receive is your recommendation to your family and friends. Thank you! We will do our best to treat them right and maintain that trust you have extended to us. We do take it seriously. Something you might check out next time you/re in town. Two doors down the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers have recently renovated the Pioneer Museum which holds a lot of interesting artifacts and information. It is open daily except for Sunday and the admission is FREE. The exhibits are well worth a visit.

Stayed there twice in one week on my way to and from the Grand Canyon Lodge, North Rim. The facility was well maintained and the staff friendly and courteous.

There was a problem with the TV (cable company it turned out) but the staff did everything they could to try and fix it and finally advised me of the actual result.

The breakfast was better than many I have had, including other BW.

I plan to stay there next year on my way to/from the Canyon.

Green Features: Nice to have a Recycle bin for my water bottles, and I liked their soap recycling policy.

Bob I, Thanks for staying with us twice! We have a lot of guests who stay with us while also visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. There is a small state park 20 minutes away called Snow Canyon that I highly recommend you see next time you are in the area. We have pictures of it on our facebook page.
I had not heard about the TV issue – it’s so nice to have a staff that takes initiative to resolve concerns, they are wonderful! Thank you for complimenting them, they deserve it.

My husband and I were on a road trip, pulling a trailer, and were very impressed with the amount of trailer parking they had! The check-in/check out was easy and pleasant, and the room was very clean and comfortable. We slept very well. The free breakfast the next morning was great and convenient. Overall, we were very happy with our experience! I also loved the fact that they had 2 pools-- and indoor and outdoor! We didn't have time to take advantage of this feature, but it sure looked good!

Room Tip: Lots of parking.

Myrmyr971, Awesome! Two reviews back to back! Thank you! Every review is helpful and wanted. We can also park large trucks and RV’s on our next door lot. We are currently looking into further options for our breakfast. Later this winter we anticipate upgrading our window valances and bathroom countertops. It is wonderful to work at a property that is continually upgrading and renovating yet still keeps the rates competitive.
