“Prepare to be prosletized”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

The elder that showed us the home was gently pushing Mormonism and was light on the tour part of the visit. You will not get an historical overview of the man, who appears to be quite interesting outside of the religion he was central too. Too bad; it would have been quite fascinating to learn about thim.

“A significant part of Western History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Brigham Young's home is worth spending an hour or so by taking a tour. Much of the furniture was his and all of it is authentic to the period he lived there. The gardens and vineyards are amazing when you hear the history that is related to them. The home is located in historic St George where you will find other sites of interest.

“Interesting House”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

The house is a time capsule of the latter part of Brigham Young's life. He spent his last 7 winters in the house. The original house was expanded for him by Mitt Romney's great, great grandfather. Some family owned furnishing, all period pieces otherwise. Beautiful chandeliers. Nicely landscaped grounds with mulberry trees. The early Mormon settlers tried raising silk worms and needed the trees for food. Informative tour guides.

“A must-do if you love LDS Church history!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

I've taken the tour twice now about 10 years apart - both times the missionaries who lead the tours were knowledgable, friendly and fun. It's a beautiful home and grounds - so interesting to see how things were back in Brigham's day. It takes less than an hour and is well worth it.

“Good information”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

The hosts are informative and pleasant. Good background on how St. George came to be and why it came to be. It includes some of Brigham Young's personal belongings which makes it all the more special.
