“jpimpressive structure, expert marketing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

The LSD temple is a beautiful building located in the center of St. George. I thought it was interesting to find out the lighting bill is paid by the city because it is a tourist attraction. The building is actually red sandstone painted white and must have been quite an undertaking when it was built. The visitor center is very informative but be aware the center exists for the purpose of evangelizing visitors. The grounds are meticulously maintained and provide a reprieve from the stark southern Utah landscape. It is an interesting place to visit and offers a chance to see the Mormon marketing machine in action.

“Seriously, Not much to see here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

I have travel the world several time over and always find St George a very warm and friendly place to visit. From St George you can actually see the tips of Zion National park and dozens of other beautiful landmarks. The temple is nice but not #1. I wouldn't even place it in the top 100 of man made churches or structures The top rating borders on being an insult to dozens of other nearby places such as Utah's second most visited event center,Tuacahn Theater. If you are in the area, drive up to the Dixie rock. Here you can actually get out of the car and walk the rocks and see many spectacular sights. Excellent views of the southern part of town and the temple too.- and yes everyone is allowed to share in this spectacle of nature.

“Pretty Grounds and Friendly Mormons”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

The visitor's center and Temple of the LDS church is a nice facility where you can pick up a little history and see the outside of the Temple. However, you will likely be subjected to a mild version of the history of the LDS church and their views. Also, you can't go in the Temple. I think you can learn more by just reading information online and visiting other sites in St. George.

“Little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013 via mobile

Beautiful and peaceful place to walk around or just sit and relaxe. I go there often and always nice. During the Christmas season you can see Christmas lights and a nativity set up. Also a nice place to take pictures.
