“Nice stop between Salt Lake and LA”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Stopped on our way home from Salt Lake. Great night's stop. Nicely decorated and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast, but lacking in hot eggs and protein. Hard boiled eggs are not a good substitute. Dissatisfied with the end of the stay. We stay with Marriott properties because of the good service we usually receive. As we left, my wife slipped on a recently painted curb and sprained her ankle. While the desk staff kindly directed us to an urgent care center, we never heard back from Marriott corporate.

Room Tip: Krave frozen yogurt was great. Obviously popular with local college students. Fun place. Good sel...

In reading some of the reviews, I was very surprised that people weren't completely happy with this hotel!! I stayed here for one night while driving home from Vegas. I was incredibly pleased with everything. The hotel is clean and the front desk staff was fantastic! My room was spacious, clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The rate was great (around $89). The pool area is average but the jacuzzi was wonderful, with a cascading water feature. They have free wi-fi and a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot in the rooms. The continental breakfast could have had a little more variety, but was still enjoyable and the breakfast attendant was very friendly and kept the coffee full. Overall, for the rate and location, I would definatley recommend staying here.

We went here when the Bestern Western Plus was full. Should have kept looking.

We got in late and with three kids, just climbed in bed. In morning noticed how dirty one of the beds was. Almost seemed like the sheets hadn't been changed. Gross.

Thin, basic towels. Dirty floors. Ick. Tv remote taped together. Loud AC/heater. Lots of noise from highway in our room by pool. Breakfast was contenital fare -fine but busy.

Might expect at lower priced hotels but for the price, very disappointed. Ok for quick stop if prices were lower.

Is right next to the freeway and had helpful staff member when we checked in late at night after driving almost 700 miles. We were on the top floor away from the freeway and found our room comfortable for a night's relaxing sleep. Breakfast options were reasonable. This is probably an old structure that has been renovated recently. No complaints. Has enough to meet expectations associated with its nightly room rate for someone who booked the room less than 24 hours prior to landing up and is a regular with Marriott!

This Fairfield is convenient access off the freeway, clean, great staff and they are PET FRIENDLY (really). They made us feel welcome with our little dog. The sports bar next door has good food and also great service. The pool was sparkling clean and breakfast was good. You can drive to the hotel, not have to drive anywhere else until you are back on the road. Great stop over to base out of for Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks and all that beautiful mountain country. Have stayed there before and will definately be back.

Room Tip: If you have a dog, the pet area is on the south side of the hotel so request a room on that end so a...

I have stayed at a number of Fairfield Inns with mostly good experiences. I have to say that the staff at this one was less than stellar. One of the reasons I made the reservation in the morning of the day of my stay, was to use the hot tub after 500 miles of driving. When I arrived, I found the hot tub to be about 80 degrees. When I brought it up to the staff, they said they didn't know anything about it. In speaking with a different staff member later, I was informed that the hot tub had been broken for days and they should get someone to look at it, but hadn't yet. I should have been informed when I specifically asked about the hot tub, upon making the reservation that same day, that it was inoperative. I contacted Marriott online about the problem that evening and promptly received an email response that, as I was currently staying in the hotel, a manager would contact me to resolve the issue. As of checkout, no staff contacted me. The hostess in the breakfast area was surly and several items, such as waffle batter and breakfast sandwiches, were out of stock. After waiting 15 minutes, I gave up and went out to eat. I will select a different hotel in St. George in the future.

Room Tip: When staying on the ground floor rooms, one can hear footsteps from the room above.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to advise us of your recent experience at Fairfield Inn, St. George. I was pleased that you selected our hotel for your accommodations during your visit. However, I was very concerned to learn the problems you had with the staff and the hot tub. I will speak with all the staff that you came in contact with about the importance of relaying important hotel information. It was the morning that you made your reservation that the heater went out completely. The pool maintenance company was contacted immediately and came right away. It is those unfortunate situations where we have to order parts before we can finish fixing the problem. Also, we always recommend making your reservation with the property directly especially when coming for one thing in particular.

Please accept my sincere apology for the difficulties you encountered. There is no excuse for such a lapse in service to have occurred.

It is by receiving comments such as yours that we are assisted in identifying products, services and individuals that require immediate attention. Your comments are very important and we truly appreciate you taking the time to contact customer care and Trip Advisor.

Sincerely

MaKenzie Stubbs

I stayed overnight recently on a trip from California to Colorado. (Zion National park is about a half hour drive away)
The hotel appears new, is very clean and quiet.
St George was very warm but the rooms AC handled it nicely

No complaints whatsoever

Room Tip: top floor for the quietest experience.
